Tradewinds Odyssey is a pretty good game. The character dialogues are really funny. The gameplay is good. I like the strategy part of it more than Caravans. The only thing I didn't like were the city graphics. I wish they were more detailed, like in Caravans. But overall, this is a great addition to the Tradewinds series. I have been playing Tradewinds II & Legends for YEARS now, and still haven't tired of them. This isn't even CLOSE to their quality. It is awkward at best and boring at worst. If you like the REAL Tradewinds games, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Not The best pick of the Tradewinds Selection the random creatures you fight are a bit cheese and you only fight the really some what cools towards the end when you are up say 2am and watching some B-rated movie thinking have I seen this what am I playing oh yeah the same game with the same levels and same map. I would go with Tradewinds Legends it's better all round and the story line is better. Gncs .:= thanks Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This game is so much fun. A bit cartoonesque but none the less fun. I'd love to own this game, but for some reason I can't purchase anything from Big Fish and that seems to be the only place I can get it....for now. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Nowhere near the standard of Tradewinds Legends. This was a much shorter game, with less complexity. I really liked how Tradewinds Legends turned the game half way through by having you replace all your ships to flying ships. There is nothing of that sort in this game. Also the game does not play well on Vista. I am very disappointed with this latest game in the series, it feels like a step backwards. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I'm a fan of the Tradewind series and own most of them, but I do not like this one. Main reason is the art, I just don't understand why they had to go and change the graphics so horribly compared to the other games in the series. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I have played all of the Tradewinds games and this is a nice addition to the series. The game play is a little to load heavy for my taste (you click sail, then it shows one screen, then another, then you sail), but other then that slowing the game down this is a great game. The story line for Pheobe (the character I picked) was EXCELLENT, and had me giggling at my screen several times. The art style and music is great, the battles are simple but quick. There are plenty of trophys to earn and upgrades to buy (ships, weapons, blessings), and it seems to have great replay value since you have four charaters to start off with and two to unlock. A good one to pick up for fans of this style of game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

OK, I'll admit it... with my name, anything based on Greek Mythology has a bit of an advantage when it comes to my ratings... but Tradewinds: Odyssey wins its stars quite honestly. In typical Tradewinds' fashion, it's full of comedic pop-culture references (always a stand-out feature, IMHO) but, this version adds just the right amount of mythological references as well ~ occasionally making me ROFLMAOSLC (once even spraying a just sipped cola out my nose.) But my one of my favorite features has to be the addition of Blessings, purchasable with goods instead of hard-earned cash... (Now when I have 20 crates of rotting fish stinking up my cargo hold, I don't have to sell them at a loss to free up that space, I can donate them to the temple and get a blessing from Poseidon instead... Wonderful... and I also have to decide whether I need the extra cash I can get from selling those 20 crates of olives ~ are they made of gold to sell at that price??? ~ or whether I need the healing blessing of Athena more.) And another favorite new feature is the ability to enlarge sales opportunities by selling 10 crates of an item to a new market ~ ensuring that that item will be available in the new market forever... no more searching around ~ (where did I see that sale on olives, anyway???) ~ if Thebes has olives but no honey and Athens has honey but no olives, buy 10 olives in Thebes and sell them in Athens, buy 10 honey in Athens and sell them in Thebes ~ now both markets will have both goods available... forever... (and increasing trade in this way also increases market fluctuations, so you're better able to buy low/ sell high) ...I realize that not everyone will be as tickled by this game as I was... but if you enjoyed any of the previous Tradewinds series, you're bound to appreciate this one... Played the Beta. It was an enjoyable addition to the Tradewinds family. Some good changes made it easier to play, while it kept the same character and basic gameplay. Music was nice, gave it a nice "ancient Greek" feel. It still had all the funny little puns and cultural references that I've come to associate with (and love about) the Tradewinds series. Not a five, but it's still a good solid game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
