    Has anyone with Windows XP had trouble saving the game? Everytime I stop playing and try to save, nothing happens. I have to start from the beginning which after about the 6th time, gets pretty boring. Please let me know if you have had this issue and what, if anything, can be done about it. I tried emailing support at encoreusa.com but no answer. The game seems pretty cool but I am kind of tired of clicking through the dialouge over and over again to continue to the next clue/area.     I am having the same problem too. After taking hours to download with broadband connection, it is disappointing to have to start over again several times. I finally managed to save my place after 2 tries. I don't know if I will buy this game or not. I am not a fan of point and click games.

    I have found that if I click on Save Game, I get a black square.  But when I click on the black square it then gives me the date and time of the time I clicked on Save.  It has actually saved my game.  The only other trouble I had was when Kate had grabbed the cuckoo egg.  Twice the game quit.  Lucky I saved the game the second time and when I started the game up again it started from that point.  It has not done that again since.  I guess it was a "snafu" in the game.

    I had the same problem, searched for a solution, and found it. Go to where your Syberia and Syberia2 Save Game folders are, probably in My Documents or maybe Program Files (can't remember which one now), and right-click, Properties, and turn Read-only "off", then save. Once that is off you will be able to save games. It has something to do with admin rights when installing the game...

    I am in the factory part of this game and when I get to the automaton that is supose to carry a barrel he doesn't, so when I get to the part when kate is to the machine she says it does not seem to work. Please help.

    I found out want I was doing wrong Thanks for your help.  After getting the mechanical toy and the toy doll in there place it says to go to the shelves and put them on the plaforms but I can't seem to get put there, any help for this please.

    Garnets, there are walkthrus for both Syberia I and Syberia II at Gameboomers. Go the the Gameboomers site, click on Walkthroughs and they are listed in alphabetical order. Kudos to you for getting as far as you have without a walkthru.  Laughing  I hope you enjoy the game.

    Help!  I have received the train ticket and train release permit, have gone to Alfoter's house to get the release stamped, but there is no ink.  Did I miss something?  Where's the INK?

    Hi Justgramm, the ink is in the Mansion Attic. Along with the diary. Have you been there yet? Up the ladder?  In the attic you will find the ink. You will then need to go back to the Notarys office and use the Automaton stamp that is on the desk. Pour the ink into the stamp well. Then you will be able to get the stamp on the permit. Laughing

    Well, here I am again.  I am at the border post, up the stairs to the guard's room but there's no guard.  I must have missed something but can't figure out what.  Would appreciate any help I can get.

    Hi Justgram, you may have already gotten past this point. If not, you will need to go to the ticket office, talk to Oscar, he is the ticket man now--you will need a Visa. Then go to the Border Patrol Office, talk to Captain Malatesta. You will get a phone call at this point too. Good luck.
