The instructions say the magnifying glass will change color if you get near a place where you need to use an inventory item. That's not true.

Instead, the magnifying glass starts to spin, which is actually more helpful.

Anytime you're in a scene and you see the magnifying glass spin, that means you will need to use an inventory item in that spot.

Quite often when you complete an inventory task it will reveal an item on the Find List. This might be just a regular item or another inventory item.

    Have fun!

I'd like to keep this as a topic with no spoilers, so I'm going to start a new topic and answer you there. Thanks!

I did think the magnifying glass changed color, got dark blue, as well as larger and spinnier!

I found it annoying to have to keep opening the inventory drawer to get (or remember) what was in it.

Since I hate "spot the difference" puzzles, with which this one is full, I will skip Steve.

  • Coscat,   Different people

    Coscat,

Different people like different games, and you do get a good feel for this one during the demo so you can tell if you'll like it.

I don't normally like "spot the difference" puzzles much, but I thought these were both logical and clever. Once you get to the 3rd location, usually the top view is before a break in, and the bottom view is after the break in. The things that are changed are mostly things that logically make sense as part of the crime (a window is broken, something is moved out of the way, something is knocked over). I liked seeing how those changes fit into the story.

but obviously mileage will vary on this, as on all games. So it's a good thing there are so many of them to choose from! Smile
