Topic: Reflexive has the very best graphics

I have been amazed and delighted by the graphics in the games Reflexive makes, ever since Ricochet Lost Worlds and Big Kahuna 2.  I haven't much liked their later ones, like The Big Tree, but the graphics remain gorgeous and distinctive, unlike those of any other developer.

Looks like this new one is going to be beautiful, but from the screenshots it appears that it might be aimed at children.  Which is generally a turnoff for me.

Side note: Has it occurred to anyone but me that part of the appeal of hidden object games is that they are generally NOT kiddie-type games?

I had trouble getting this to run.  It instantly exits unless I turn off my firewall - which of course I am reluctant to do, since I like to browse while I play.  Firewall says the program tries to do a direct write to disk (rather than using a Windows function).  Support from Reflexive was very prompt - but their solution: "temporarily disable your firewall" seems inadequate.

I did manage to play the game for a while, but it caused my PC to overheat although indoor temperature is only 83F.  Temperature dropped 7 degrees C (about 13F) as soon as I exited the game. Their graphics make the video card and/or CPU work very hard.

Is it worth it if I have to shut down my firewall every time I want to play it, and can't play it at all on a warm day?  I'll have to wait for reviews since the 10 minutes or so that I played it isn't enough to decide.

I haven't yet played the game, but I agree with regard to wanting adult games.  They don't have to be full of gratuitous nudity or cussing or blood, but I am an adult and appreciate more involved plotting too.  The rarest game is one that has a story that naturally is told without too many cut-outs by bad voice acting, and a story that is engrossing.  I do like "story" games more than just playing games, so the story is important.  When I unwind, I want to be challenged intellectually and so a kid-level story is not going to do that.
