You have to shoot balls between other balls. If you are a good shot, your ball will join other balls of the same colour and disappear. I have had Zuma on my desk top, as it was one of the first and best games in this field. But now there is Sparkle and it is better than Zuma: both music and graphics are superbe. You don't play this game all of the time. You don't need to play it to the very end as soon as possible. Like other three-in-a-rows, even though the Zuma-genre is quite different, you play this game whenever you feel like playing it. And being among the VERY best, this one may sit on my desk top untill Windows 22 arrives.

The Darkness in Crowberry Woods is rising and the only thing that can stop it is to be found in these woods. The burden has been placed upon your shoulders. Your journey begins at the Giant Mushrooms.

If you've played Luxor or Zuma, you will be familiar with the Orb Slinger, and hitting matching-coloured sets of three or more balls to clear them all and avoid falling into the abyss. In my opinion, Sparkle far surpasses any of those other games!

The powerful and moving sound track will whisk you away to an enchanted land of wizards and magic! You will be swept up in the excitement and mysticism of the story line as you battle your way through the levels, finding amulets with magical powers you can use to defeat the Darkness!

You have three game modes to choose from: Quest, Challenge and Survival.

If you choose Quest Mode, you will begin the journey into the woods to find the magical amulets to dispell the impending Darkness. At each place you stop, you are faced with a challenging, action-packed puzzle, with brilliantly coloured balls and an intricate screen layout! Try for combinations of chains and be rewarded with awe-inspiring bonuses from the Wrath of the Moon, Fire Bolts and Colour Powder, to Frost Ray and Dragonflies!

In Challenge Mode, you are faced with finishing the incredibly-detailed layouts as fast as you can.

In Survival Mode, you begin as an Apprentice, clearing boards and making your way to Journeyman and beyond.

Try all three modes; your games will all be saved so you can return to fight the Darkness another day!

I love this game! I have gotten Zuma and others like it and this one, by far, is my most favorite. I also love the power-ups and the way they are placed. I have no idea why the overview has such a low rating because if you like games, like this one, you will enjoy the challenge.
