I've played most of the demo of this game and I'm not terribly impressed. The objects aren't cleverly or very well hidden. They're just a bunch of stuff scattered everywhere throughout the scene. Not sure I'll buy it when there are so many other games on my "buy" list. Send a Kudo Post a Reply Quote & Reply

I have not been impressed with this game so far. Everything about it seems average at best. I'm not a fan of hidden object games where items are randomly placed in a scene and the size of things don't make sense at all.

I was not terribly impressed either. Long waits in-between scenes.

  • What a disappointment.

What a disappointment. Pleased to at last have a game that lasts longer than a quick run through just after purchasing the demo!!! only to find with this one that the items are strewn everywhere but the same items come up again and again. Also the pauses between scenes are very frustrating. Not too impressed at all. It seems with so many game publishers wanting to enter this genre we are in danger of losing the interest, complexity, replay value and fun that the original HO games had.

I too first thought that this game was interesting, a bit creepy and objects were not that easy to find in rooms. However, I am not even close to 50% done and this game is really getting on my nerves with its repetitiveness and also the ending seems uncatchable! I may finish this game by the end of the summer the way its laid out!

I love hidden object games and buy most of them. this one I will not buy. If you added up all the blank screen time between scenes, I bet the 60 minutes free demo, only add up to 45 of playing time...

Did u get as far as the confrontation with the butler? After that the scenes repeated and then froze. This has happened twice !! Can't finish the game. Wait times between screens increases as game goes on. What gives?

  • Another disappointed game

Another disappointed game player here. Margrave Manor is full of repetition, which detracts from the overall game experience. The wait time between scenes is far too long, nothing worse than looking at the black screen while waiting to play. I don't like being taken back to the menu after the crest door, seems an unnecessary waste of time.

It is almost like the developer rushed to get this game released, and forgot to give it a final polish. As a confirmed hidden object fan I bought it as soon as it was released, and feel I've wasted my money.

  • I agree the waits inbetween

I agree the waits inbetween are annoying but other than that I like the game.. they are a bit repetitive but have noticed the objects may repeat but their position in a room are NOT the same. You may find a santa in the Billards room one go round but the next time you come to the Billards room the santa has been moved, unlike most HO games you can kinda memorize where everything is. I know this is gonna be a long one as I have completed 102 scenes, have 102 items in my collection with 17 pieces placed on the door to discover I am ONLY 30% done. So if your a HO fan this one is definately NOT a quickie and in my opinion well worth the money.

I'm a definite HO addict, so I usually buy every game of this type. There are probably only a handful that I haven't. Overall, this game isn't too bad. I do agree wholeheartedly that some of the rooms are way too cluttered, making it hard to find things, especially when they are tiny. Sometimes I get so frustrated trying to find something, that I switch to another game. I do like that they used different objects than in most of the other HO games and the fact that the objects move around in the scenes.

I'm glad to hear that the blank screen in between rooms wasn't just something I was experiencing. I was beginning to think I needed to up my computer memory! I'm just amazed that with however long this game turns out to be that it wasn't such a big download, especially when compared to Mystery Stories.

  • Has anyone finished this

    Report as Inappropriate

Has anyone finished this game? I got to what I think is the end, and I only have 50% or so of the items in the collection. When I choose "play game" it just sends me back to the same "last" scene I did. I can't figure out how to get to 100%. Help?
