I would give this game less than 1 star if possible. The game looks tempting, takes a while to download, but is next to impossible to play due to no instructions on what to do. I have a pretty good idea of how to play, but some of the items provided don't work as they should. Also, I am giving big points off for the opening which does not allow you to skip and wastes valuable playing time. I don't recommend this game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Pros: Excellent graphics. Very creepy, labyrinth-like house. I kept getting lost! New places to explore at every turn. Super spooky music & sound effects. A reasonably long-lasting game, especially if you don’t use the walk-through (but see Cons). Extremely suspenseful (but see also Cons)! Cons: The elaborately crafted story completely fell apart at the end. Maybe I’m just stupid, but… what? They spend all this time building up a detailed plot and then you’re left to assume in the end. Also, without the walk-through, there’s no way I would’ve gotten through it. I like adventure games, but how on EARTH would you know to prop a newspaper under a door to help open it? The whole game is like that. (I’m curious, is there an order to these things? What if you do something before you were supposed to?) And the repetition of phone calls to “Jerry”, especially at the beginning, is ridiculous and pointless. But my biggest beef with this game is this: It should’ve been a LOT scarier, even for something rated Teen. It has all the elements. It sets you up to expect things jumping at you any moment. And maybe that was merely this game’s sole purpose – suspense. Because nothing happens! Until the very end (when it better be scary!), there is only ONE moment – ONE! – in the whole game that makes you jump. Even the supposed “scratching” noises happen only three times during the whole game. During the several hours of gameplay, they had every opportunity to throw in distant knocks, creaks, random whispers, and uh, maybe some scratching noises, or passing shadows and dark figures, or scary things jumping out at you when you open doors or peer into a corner. It just builds and builds and builds only to give you hours of zilch, then one startled moment, then hours more of suspenseful zilch, and then an ending that makes you go, “YIKES! … Wait, wha?” Overall, a good game for Halloween for the creepiness factor, but don’t expect a lot of excitement. Just a lot of phone calls to Jerry. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
