I thoroughly enjoy this game, because of the untimed mode. The original Rainbow Web game was fun until I hit level 6-1 and the time pressure got obvious. With Rainbow Web II, I can stare at the board until I figure out the best move, to try to beat the "expert" number of moves. I also like being able to turn off the hints, which can't be done with the original game. The variety of grids for the letters keeps the game interesting all the way to the end.
The minigames are hohum, but are only annoying because when I try to replay a given board to improve my score, if there's a jigsaw right after it there doesn't seem to be a way to skip the jigsaw. Giving a gold score for expert on the hidden object game just doesn't make much sense IMO because you can play it a second time immediately (while you remember where the pieces are) to get that gold.
