I liked the game on relaxed mode, but got frustrated in timed. I'm not fast and I'm thinking that the sort of people who are fast are not so likely to want to put pieces of fabric together. I don't think game designers get it. Games aren't always about speed and score they can also be about an enjoyable challenge. Which this is. Relaxed mode should have more patterns for replayability. By the way, I am a quilter and this is nothing like quilting. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I'm usually not into tiling games (if they are a mini-game included in a larger game and there is a skip option I always choose to skip) but the concept of piecing together a quilt and being able to choose the fabrics/color schemes I wanted to use for it appealed to me so I tried the demo of Quilting Time. Although it is a very spare game, with no "bells and whistles", I found it very relaxing and enjoyable to play in the untimed mode. I haven't played it in the timed mode yet but I expect I will still enjoy it when I do. Definitely planning on purchasing this one. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I really, really, really wanted to like this game. I am a huge inlay fan and of course there hasn't been any good inlay games in forever. I also dabbled in quilting (though I didn't keep it up), and so I knew that there was some real brain teasing in quilting--it seems like it should be simple but it usually turns out to have a lot more calculation involved than you'd think. So anyway, I downloaded this game and was really hoping it would be the answer to my inlay cravings. I just finished the trial, and am sad to say that it just didn't grasp me tightly enough to want to get the whole game. It was more challenging than I thought, and strangely very unsatisfying. I liked being able to pick your own materials. I liked seeing the results in the 9-block quilt that you build up. However, it just didn't offer enough to keep me enthralled. For one thing, the timed parts are indeed challenging, but it was very limited in terms of playing field; as the GZ reviewer says, the beginning of almost every quilt block requires some guessing. It made me mad too that the game was set up to be very specific to one piece--so that you could not use 2 small triangles to form a square, you had to use a full square. At the same time, it didn't seem to have any rhyme or reason, but maybe I am wrong on that. However, I *think* that the designs follow mostly mirror imaging (whether reverse, opposite, etc) or circular, but one square in the left bottom corner could be a full square and the opposite could be 2 triangles. Again, this could be a mistaken impression on my part. But basically, I think that all full shapes should be able to be made by smaller components. In summary, I'd say go ahead and give it a try. I think true puzzle fans who like just plain puzzles without the addition of sometimes annoying long stories and dialogue may really like this. I also think that my fellow inlay fans really may get some good time out of this one. It's something I'd recommend as a trial, and a game that would not surprise me if it is popular with someone else--but I'd also not be surprised if some would hate it. I really don`t know a thing about Quilting (I did some sewing for my brother - toys and stuff like that) but I really enjoyed this game! A good alternative to the saturated market of Hidden Objects, Time Managements, Match Threes... I liked how the game forces you to think about your options, instead of giving out where to think. I find it more rewarding than simply having particles shot in my face each time I click on something. :P The only lacking part is the visuals, I guess the game could be more polished. However, the granma is a very charming character (but her voice sounds too young...). I'd reccomend it to anyone looking for a more challenging experience. Give it a try! I really liked this game. Maybe because I crocheted and knitted for many, many years. It is not difficult and could be considered boring but I think the little girls would love to do this with their moms or sisters or grammas. You can play relaxed which I like. This is like a tiling game. Some pieces are already there and you have to add the other pieces to first create a square and then turn it into a quilt. I was so excited when seeing this for download but, after buying it I'm very disapointed. I'm a big fan of patchworks & was expecting some sort of similarities or at the very least a rational concept in putting together a puzzle-type pattern. However, the way the puzzle-patterns are expected to be put together is completely weird as the pieces are supposed to be put together with the same fabric to create a bigger piece which should just be one piece instead of several small ones to make one large one... this makes it impossible to know where they go and therefore makes the game useless. How can someone know where it goes if they don't have a different fabric to compare patterns? It's like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle without the picture or a pattern to follow! Quilting Time at first seems like a child's game but I was wrong. Your mind has to able to, as it seems, to be able to decipher a "code" that is presented to you in quilting material and shapes. You get to almost kind of get to decide how hard you want the next puzzle by picking out the colors and materials so the "code" would stand out a little better. You get rewarded for putting the right piece in the right place but money is taken from you each time you do not. Granny is very patient and praises you quite a lot. A very simplified graphic and no irritating noise unless you do not like hearing the hostess (Granny) talk which I did not mind at all. It is not a fancy puzzle game, but nice. Quilting time was kind of a disappointment for me. I was hoping for power ups or something to help get me into the groove. It is an ok puzzler, but the graphics are nothing special and the music/sound effects are kind of annoying. I did know what I needed to do, just had to figure out the pattern, so the intro directions worked for me. I would not recomend this game to most people. Maybe if you really LOVE quilting ... I tried it. It looked like a very different game. But I had no clue what I was doing. It would of been nice if they had a picture of the pattern that I had to complete but they didn't. So I gave up. It would of been fun but the graphics were okay, not great and I had no clue what I was doing. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
