  • I'm stuck - rooftop, plants on conveyer belt

    Wonderful game and I've managed to get through quite a few levels with only a few retries, but this one has me stuck.  I must have tried about 30 times and the zombies get to the chimney every time.

    You are on a roof, the plants and posts come on a converyer belt, and the collection of zombies is fierce and relentles.

    There is also a giant ball of ice rolling over you, and a giant fireball - but those are easy to deal with.

    I sure wish I could get past this level - although there may be worse up ahead!   Has anyone succeeded?

    Hm, I believe you are in the last level, right? 5-10?

    Well, in any case, to counter the Ice Ball, use the Jalapeno. To counter the Fire One, use the Ice Shroom.

    Defende your plants all the time, and whenever the boss gets down, you can freeze him with Ice Shrooms (if you have spare) so your plants can attack him more, or even use some Jalapenos on him to damage him. Other than that, keep defending the roof and always have 1 extra Ice Shroom and 1 Jalapeno for the fireballs.

    I believe there's an item in the shop which you can buy to reinforce your roof too. Try that if still have trouble winning this level.

    Thanks, Nalthier.  This is good help!  Yes, must be level 10 - every fifth one is conveyer belt.

    I didn't know the boss could be attacked. Hah!

    About keeping Jalapeno's and ice Shrooms on hand - I thought if I didn't take them off the belt right away they wouldl move on out of sight.  Must experiment with that.

    I'd already gotten pretty good with the fire and ice balls. 

    Is the roof reinforcer available in level 10? I dont't think it is. You only have the purchased tools in the regular levels I believe.

    The roof cleaners do work in Level 10, I accumulated a nice handful of Jalapenos and Ice Shrooms ... and the Boss finally broke up into pieces.

    Happiness.

    I see now that there were tips for that screen in the walkthrough.  I didn't know I was in the screen with Dr. Zomboss.  :)  Should have read the Zombie Almanac.
