I really enjoyed this game. The mini puzzles are unique and challenging. The puzzles include "layered" jigsaws, cryptograms, sequence puzzles, chronological puzzles, and graph puzzles. The game is timed, hints are NOT generous...if you run out of time doing one of the mini puzzles you need to start the level over. Hint, on chronological puzzle, if you get it wrong it takes 3 minutes off your time. Do that a couple times and you're starting over. Objects are clear but well hidden. The graphics in this game are awful!!! Sure the scenes are pretty, but what's with the message windows, the container of the clues in the lower part of the screen, the buttons!!!! I mean I'm just learning photoshop and I'm sure I could have done a better job, horrible!! And don't get me started with the comics, my 3 years old niece could have painted that thing better! Other than that, the game has some clever puzzles and is enjoyable if you ignore the awful graphics mentioned. I would have given this game 3 or 4 stars but thanks to the AWFUL graphics I'm giving it a 2. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I've been playing for about two hours, but am not going to continue, nor am I going to buy the game. PROs: Interesting story, nice graphics CONS: - Objects are hard to find, even from the first screen. - Objects defy laws of gravity and perspective (my particular pet peeve about many HO games). - Hint system is ridiculous. I just used up two hints trying to find a "sock" in one screen, and never could find it, in spite of careful scrutiny followed by comprehensive clicking - The WORST: the image shows a document being either unfolded or rolled out, and they call it a "codex." Whatever it is, is isn't a codex! Not that I expect Joe Q. Public to know what a codex is, but good grief! If a computer game is going to be built around a "codex," the developers could at least have taken the trouble to find out what one is. They have heaped ridicule upon their own heads. (Answer: a codex is no more and no less than what we recognize as a "book": manuscript or printed or even blank leaves bound together at the spine) Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I enjoyed the story for once, which was original. The hidden objects scenes were quite hard to find, which was fine but the hint system could be better! Only problem: not enough time for the last tasks as there are three of them and you have to start them all over again. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I enjoyed the game. No problem with clicking, mini games challenging (puzzle ones very difficult. Story was good, good length. Learned some history. Refernce to USSR incorrect. Didn't exist in that period. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Not very clear graphics, a violent story with crappy pictures, objects that you will find for sure at places, which have the same color (how "creative"), or just blurry and ... Im really bored with that game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This game has a great mix of puzzles and brain teasers as well as HO. Yes, some of the objects are hard to make out, but the game is generous with random clicks. I didn't like being thrown back to the start of a level when I ran out of time, but it only happened once and the objects to find were different so it adds to the replay value. I loved seeing the same scenes in different time periods and I found the story interesting. Also like that the ending is resolved and not a "to be continued". Like it. Having trouble with last grid for deciphering symbols. Recommended for the experienced HOG player. I wish that Maggie had put in the solution for the last grid. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I have to agree with Jaylee, too many things that cause problems and frustrations. It does have some nice scenes but since I'm not a story fan, I don't pay much attention, but this time I was not enthused. Too difficult for newbees. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Nice game w/ good graphics and story. Unique and challenging minigames. A number of downsides, though: Items in hidden object scenes were very small, clicking accuracy was off and some of the minigames were overly difficult. Fun but lacked the zip to make it stand out. I enjoyed this one. Mini games were interesting and easy enough to not need any clues. Plenty of hints, but not a ridiculous number. The HO parts were timed, but I always had twice as much time as I needed. I would like liked an option to skip the story altogether - probably wasted 150 clicks just getting through the story without reading it. I liked how small the objects were and that there was an interesting variety of locations to search. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Standard boring HOG game with a forced timer and a list of hidden objects. Very little innovation here.. Playfirst, go back to the dash games.. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

A long-lasting game with superb mini-games. Usability could be better in the anagram mini-game. It's tedious to move the letters. Storyline is confusing because it's a jumble. Timeline mini-game clues are too hard and don't give you an idea of the time period. Hate that level starts over if you run out of yimr uring mini-games. I just got thru playing the game and could only play for 28 nutes as I could not get past the codex code mini game it was 2 hard and it's on a timer, which put me back to the beginning of the game to start all over again. game does not allow you to skip puzzles you can not do. I would not buy this game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Although I enjoyed the first outing very much, I'm going to give this incarnation a pass despite the graphics being above average and the gameplay similar to the original. Even the addition of a logic minigame doesn't save the game. There's just something missing, and it lacks that extra something that compels you to play for hours. I am sorry playfirst. I truly enjoyed your first one and that's why I bought the second. You give too little time for the areas you have to cover. Then you make the player go back 2 sometimes 3 scenes and have them redo the mini-game if they run out of time. I am not impressed with this one in the least.
