I really enjoyed this game. The mini puzzles are unique and challenging. The puzzles include "layered" jigsaws, cryptograms, sequence puzzles, chronological puzzles, and graph puzzles. The game is timed, hints are NOT generous...if you run out of time doing one of the mini puzzles you need to start the level over. Hint, on chronological puzzle, if you get it wrong it takes 3 minutes off your time. Do that a couple times and you're starting over. Objects are clear but well hidden. The graphics in this game are awful!!! Sure the scenes are pretty, but what's with the message windows, the container of the clues in the lower part of the screen, the buttons!!!! I mean I'm just learning photoshop and I'm sure I could have done a better job, horrible!! And don't get me started with the comics, my 3 years old niece could have painted that thing better! Other than that, the game has some clever puzzles and is enjoyable if you ignore the awful graphics mentioned. I would have given this game 3 or 4 stars but thanks to the AWFUL graphics I'm giving it a 2. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I've been playing for about two hours, but am not going to continue, nor am I going to buy the game. PROs: Interesting story, nice graphics CONS: - Objects are hard to find, even from the first screen. - Objects defy laws of gravity and perspective (my particular pet peeve about many HO games). - Hint system is ridiculous. I just used up two hints trying to find a "sock" in one screen, and never could find it, in spite of careful scrutiny followed by comprehensive clicking - The WORST: the image shows a document being either unfolded or rolled out, and they call it a "codex." Whatever it is, is isn't a codex! Not that I expect Joe Q. Public to know what a codex is, but good grief! If a computer game is going to be built around a "codex," the developers could at least have taken the trouble to find out what one is. They have heaped ridicule upon their own heads. (Answer: a codex is no more and no less than what we recognize as a "book": manuscript or printed or even blank leaves bound together at the spine) Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I enjoyed the story for once, which was original. The hidden objects scenes were quite hard to find, which was fine but the hint system could be better! Only problem: not enough time for the last tasks as there are three of them and you have to start them all over again. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
