While no official announcement has been made, a new report claims that Lionside, a Facebook developer that specializes in sports titles like NBA Legend and Lionside Football, has been acquired by mobile gaming company ngmoco.

The news comes via Inside Social Games, which reports that a number of Lionside employees have listed “acquired by ngmoco” on their LinkedIn pages. Meanwhile, founder Brandan Barber’s Google+ page lists ngmoco as his current employer. When we last spoke to Barber, NBA Legend has just launched and the developer had plans to continue to update it with weekly content.

ngmoco, meanwhile, was acquired itself when Japanese mobile giant DeNA purchased the company for $400 million a little less than a year ago.

We’ve contacted Lionside for comment but have yet to hear back as of writing.

Update: ngmoco has since issued the following statement to Gamezebo “We can confirm that ngmoco has acquired the Lionside team. The terms of the agreement are undisclosed. We are very excited to have Lionside join the ngmoco and DeNA family. They are working on new products for the Mobage social gaming platform, bringing their passion and experience to our continuously expanding first party development capabilities.”
