Seven chapters, and that's all. I bought it with a BFG credit, out of curiosity, but I suspect that I've wasted my money. The game is not bad, but far than perfect; a lot of objects are too small, and the first levels are too easy. But above all, it's too short: it's a pity.

I too almost finished it during the demo. Although some of the hidden objects are hard to fine(or my old eyes are just bad) I thought the plot jumped around. We went from a murder, suicide to a murder and a snake bite. I had to reread the story, after the cobra scene, to see if I had missed something when the book said this must be the snake that bit Annette and killed her. I didn't see any mention of snakes in the story and was under the impression that Annette killed her husband and then shot herself. I felt that the snake sorta came out of nowhere. Or is there something I missed??

Is there a way to correct spelling errors after you have posted something?? I see I used the word fine when I meant find, but I don't know how to fix it. One of my talents is not spelling.

Well good to know Claudia because I also played 5 chapters during the demo. Too by-the-book even if some of the ideas were good and I liked the art. Difficult to beat the MCF series for lenght and replay value!

I've only played it a little bit (some objects are WAY too small for my old eyes, even with contacts!) and I agree - it's a fun diversion, but not anything near MCF. Just an FYI, it's by the same developers (Floodlight Games) that made the Agatha Christie HO's. They really love the tiny objects! A bit of fun, but not a stand-alone experience.

Correction - this game was not by Floodlight (I have so many HO's that I either own or am trying/beta testing, I get them confused - not to mention OAS-old age syndrome!). Sorry for any confusion I may have caused!
I still stand by the rest, tho - items very small and (obviously) not exceptionally memorable!
I'm a little jealous that MCF has put a new game out for Nintendo DS - I'm dying here waiting for the next PC game -after the ending of Madame Fate, it should be a doozy!

I have to agree with most of the comments on the board. I wasn't at all impressed with this game. I didn't even finish the demo b/c I was a little bored. I guess I've been too spoiled with the MCF and Azada series lol.

I liked the demo, I may purchase in the future, or wait and see if it rolls into Shockwave.

FYI: The Nintendo DS game Millionheir is a hoot. Almost like Madame Fate and she makes an appearance in this game, which you will crack up over. Don't want the spoil, but it made me PMP.

I like HO games a lot but I think I will pass on this one. I found the mini games boring and I didn't like the 10 minute penalty if you wanted to skip it. The story line I found wasn't very interesting.

I like treasure masters and crystal portal you have to use your brain with those two. Anybody hear when the next MCF game is coming out and I am hoping Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox will be a good game as well. Take care everybody.

It is just your average HO game, with mini-games, the story-line is good. But, nothing really special. Actually kind of dull, and unexciting.
I have been really disappointed in the past few releases including Azada 2- great game, but way too short; and Amazon, too easy, too short as well.
I like games like Madame Fate, where you have puzzle scenes to figure out, and hidden rooms etc. It took me a long time to finish Madame Fate, and I still missed some stuff, will go back to get the rest.
I have decided that unless a game really has some substance to it and good replay value, it is not going to be worth money I spend for them, I will wait for it too come to shockwave, if it doesn't no problem.
