  When you are on the street level room in the beauty shop, looking up at the staircase, put your cursor along the wall ahead about halfway up the stair. You will get a message that there is "a thin crack in the plaster" there. Now you need to click on the bannister heads so that they turn and face each other. When they do, the painting will be revealed. Then click on the painting to go closer so you can see the details.
