Black and White Chess Pieces-Solution Good Luck, Margie B -

MargieB - It pains me that I couldn't figure this out. I appreciate the screenshot but I don't understand. Admittedly I don't play chess and had to go online to find out which pieces were the bishop/king/queen, but could someone please explain how this fits the story? It says the queen was taken far across the board and they were going to storm the castle. Shouldn't that mean the queen is behind the black knight and black rook (castle)? I am soooo confused. Can someone please explain to this simpleton why the pieces are in the order as shown?

Hi Mauntana
This puzzled me too, but it seems the story itself is not important. It is the order of appearance that matters here (from left to right)

The chess pieces are in the order that they appear in the story.
The White King ruled his land.
The White Knight was always by his side.
The Queen walked in the garden and disappeared.
Then the Bishop told them that
a Black Knight took her.
Then they went to storm the Black Castle.
