I bought this game because many reviewers compared it to Flux Family Secrets, which is a terrific game. Although the game play is similar: find parts of objects and replace them in different rooms, that's all they have in common. Family Secrets is REALLY FUN - Mortimer Beckett is REALLY NOT! I don't mind finding pieces of objects, but in MB they are ridiculously small and shapeless. After about the 10th time of looking for "2 black blobs and a white fuzzy thing" all over the screen, I began to think this is more labor than enjoyment. Is it too much to ask that the fragments at least be red or green? Are they ALL brown and black? May finish, but may not. I play games for relaxation and "FOUND IT!" fun in HOGs. Not much of that kind of fun in this tedious game. MO. C. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

More fun than the Time Paradox sequel, puzzles are satisfying and solvable. Only complaint: searching for PIECES of objects. Books, boots, candles, what-have-you are broken into 3 to 5 pieces, and more annoying than challenging to find. Great artwork. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I played the Time Paradox first and then found the earlier game. I enjoyed it as much, as it has also been put together in a very intelligent way and makes one deductive instincts work hard. Its my feeling that the ghosts turned up too quickly after a few taps. That nuisance was much improved in the Time Paradox. Eagerly awaiting the next game in the series. I hadn't played the original Mortimer Beckett until this one came out. Went back and played the first one, then bought and played this one. Awesome, wonderfully crafted game. There are lots of things to do and you must move from scene to scene to complete some. Nice challenge, fun characters and scenes and the graphics are well done. Good Job! Brilliant game! Graphics and music are also very good! There's only one disadvantage - it's very short. I finished it in 1 hour and 10 minutes, but it allows you to easily pass it for free at WildTangent :) Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Great game, very challenging without pressure of timed events. Note sure about the comment about replay, mine offered a reset and scrambling for another tour. One of my "favorite" games, for sure. Didn't experience any glitches and was very nicely done (well thought out). Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Great game! Graphics, storyline and details were all top-notch. I played this after playing MB and Time Paradox and I wasn't disappointed. Get it, especially at a discount! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Nice game, nice idea. Graphic a just better then average. Unfortunately, no replay value. However, I heard the sequel was much better. I'll try the new one next. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I loved this game. I don't care about replay value because I never replay a HOG. I just wait for a new one to come out. This was one of my favorites ever. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This is a very fun hidden object game. Not only do you look for hidden objects, but you interact with parts of the screen with those objects in order to solve puzzles. I agree with the other reviewers - it's addicting, but limited replay, because once you solve the puzzles, they are solved. And it's way too short! But very fun. I liked that this was not just another hidden object game. The puzzles, where some items were used in other rooms, was a nice twist. It was fun and addicting. On the down side, once you finish it, there is no replay value. All the items are in the same place, and all the puzzles stay the same. So just know you'll only be playing this once. Original with great graphics and puzzles, but way too easy and way too short. I just about finished the game in the hour-long demo! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

it is now a small classic but it was also a very original game with puzzles and pieces of objects instead of a list. Even if it is challenging, the only problem is that it is over too soon! When is the sequel? Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I really enjoy Mortimer Beckett, it's just enough challenging to keep my interest. When clicking too many times on things, the ghost can be very irritating. I would replay this game many times. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
