Organizing your City for Maximum Profitability

It’s easy find any available space to construct houses, commercial buildings, and decorative items. But, without proper planning, you will end up having a city that won’t maximize your earnings. Here is a guide and some tips to organize your city so you can increase your net worth quicker and beneficial long term.

Before you start building, make your mark and claim your city by changing its name. You start off with Chocolate Fields as the default but you can edit it by fulfilling a mission provided by your advisor. Take note you can only do this once! Think of a name before you choose to accept this mission.

Building roads is free so most players would be tempted to build as many as they can. It should be the last to be built on a certain area. If you build roads early on, you will have more gaps to deal with and might be forced to build only bungalows instead of having enough space to construct higher valued houses.

Start by looking at your available houses and look how much land you need to cover to build them. You can then look at your commercial buildings and do the same. Count the squares if you have to. You now know which houses will fit in that land area. Now, build your commercial building first and place it in the middle. It’s easier if you buy the plots first to give you a more visual representation of where it’s going to be constructed.

The image above is where a flower shop will be placed. Since some houses have been pre-built, you can then use this as your guide and work around with what you have. Decorations can be placed last once you’ve filled the area. The example above is a bit of a mistake and the cypress trees will eventually be destroyed to make room for buildings. By doing this, you can then maximize the earnings the flower shop.

Remember, you can’t move things around in Millionaire City so plan accordingly. The Destroy tool should be used only for decorations but avoid using it for high valued buildings. Eventually you will need to destroy bungalows when you have the extra cash. This will make room for houses that give you more rental income.

Lastly, including “Wonders” can beautify your city and increase all of your houses’ income. Since there is no influence area to consider to get the bonus, you can build them away from houses or commercial buildings and keep them separate. You can build roads around them if you like.
