After her boss in a high-powered Washington public relations firm is caught in a political scandal, fledgling lobbyist Dempsey Jo Killebrew is left almost broke, unemployed, and homeless. All it will take, he tells her, is a little paint and some TLC! Enjoy Mary Kay Andrews: The Fixer Upper, a fast-paced Hidden Object game!

Hi GrannyO..

Thanks for the info... and wait for the release..

HAGD

When I saw that there was a game based on a Mary Kay Andrews book, I was so excited, as I just love her books. Then when I took a look at the screenshots, that excitement turned to disappointment. Having at one time been a typesetter and proofreader, I am particulary picky about spelling and grammar, and noticed that the author's name is wrong on every screenshot. That's the sort of thing that takes away from my enjoyment of the game. I hope that's no indication of the quality of the game to come. Blame it on the nuns who taught me English!

I have to agree, I love her books. You can tell that she didn't have any input into the editing of the dialogue for the game. At least with the James Patterson games we know he actually plays and edits his games based on his books. He is a bit HOG afficionado!! Wish other authors would do the same!

Hi all.  I want to welcome you all to the forum.  I'm one of the owners of Digi Ronin and we wanted to know that we're around if you have any questions at all about the game.

I already see a bit of concern about the text in the game ;)  What you're seeing at the bottom of the screen is just a typo on the site itself (not the game) and it should be corrected.  We did in fact towork with Mrs. Andrews on this project, so we tend to not misspell her name :) You'll notice throughout the game that all the text is taken directly from the novel.  We had to make one edit later on to make it a little less "wordy" but that was only in one conversation.

We've tried very hard to make the game appealing to the fans, readers of the book will notice little items in some of the rooms that came directly from the book.

I'll be around if you have questions.  We had a blast making this game and we really do hope you all enjoy it.

PS.  I'll never promise we caught EVERYTHING, but I assure you we did proofread the game ;)
