Everything from the Facebook and online versions of the game will be making a return here in the mobile Android release, including over 60 action-packed missions, 25 fan-favorite Marvel Super Heroes, and an ongoing storyline with regular updates and special live events.
In the game, players assume the role of a newly-recruited S.H.I.E.L.D. agent has they help keep the Marvel Universe safe from oncoming attacks in the wake of the disastrous “Pulse” event. More superhero fun has just been added to the world of Marvel: Avengers Alliance with the release of Spec Op 14: The Dark World. In this latest special event for the popular Marvel game, players will use their squad of fighters to assist Thor in a valiant battle against the forces of Malekith. And as usual, new characters, new tasks, and of course, new rewards will all be in store for those who are brave enough to stare down the faces of evil.
The Dark World Spec Op event is set to challenge Marvel: Avengers Alliance fans with 25 brand new in-game tasks, and players who manage to complete them all will earn the coveted Heimdall for their character roster. In addition, players can also acquire new Mischievous Lockboxes and partake in an epic boss fight against Kurse Group. Unlocking the lockboxes gives players the chance to earn a rare comic cover, and collecting all eight of them will net you the extremely rare Loki.
But wait, that’s not even all yet! Marvel: Avengers Alliance players will also have the opportunity to purchase the exclusive Son of Odin’s “Mighty Thor” costume for a limited time, up until The Dark World Spec Op event comes to a close. Read more »
Marvel: Avengers Alliance has unleashed a brand new Spec Op for the popular action-packed superhero universe, and this time it’s bringing the new “Infinity” storyline from the Marvel comic book series directly into the fold!
In the new Spec Op event, players must face the dreaded return of Thanos the Mad Titan and his fierce following of warriors known as the Mighty Black Order. Expanding the character roster of Marvel: Avengers Alliance to exciting new heights, the new Infinity Spec Op will reward players’ efforts who complete the journey with a rare Black Bolt character model for future use in the exhilarating action game.
What’s more, new Inhuman Lockbox pickups will offer the chance of adding Infinity’s Thane (a mysterious new face to the Marvel universe) to your character roster as well, in addition to other new characters like the Black Dwarf, Corvus Glaive, and Proxima Midnight.
