Wow...another HOG with really teeny tiny items. This is just a big no for me. These have to be the smallest yet!! When will the developers ever learn. Thank goodness there's some good one that came along this week.

I was so interested in the game, but as Cyd wrote the items are so small that I got a headache straining to see them.I did like the concept of the game though

Hi Cydvicious and Nawlinslady..
I agree with you concerning the small and teeny tiny items hard to find.. I played the demo, but I'll have to pass this one...

The objects are just as hard to find in this one as the last, and I did not have any idea how to use the hint system, am I the only who could not figure it out?????

I was one of the beta testers for this game. Most of the items are bigger than they were in Cursed Valley. (Including the keys vs. the tokens.) There are few games that start with 5 hints per chapter. Finding the keys will also give you more hints, and making and using the Sord of revalation will give you extra hints. I hope this helps. If not, or if anyone needs help for the game, just post a message here and I will help you the best I can without "spoiling", if you like.
I'll also add here that I've been through the game almost a dozen times, including playing all levels. There is enough randomness in this game, that makes each go round not at all boring, but not so much that the player does not lose what he learned the first go round.

It's fairly easy once you get the hang of it. The clues are in the right hand list box. First you have to find the objects. Example: say an object a fairy is in is in a line between the bat , a horn, and the bomb. Find the bat the horn and the bomb. If you click on each of those it will mark them with an x to make the rest easier for you. The clue will also tell you what type of object the fairy is trapped in, and what spell to use on that object to free the fairy. It may be in a magical item, a food, a weapon etc. Find that abject then use the spell it tells you to use on it and presto the fairy flies out of it.
You can use the clues also if you like to help you the first time or or so. Remember that you can always get more clues. once you have reveals in safe haven. Also, the boxes in safe haven have 3 parts to the want of revelation. That is the most useful wand to use the first time through the game because it replaces reaveals fairly rapidy..

You get 5 reveals to start with for each chapter. All you have to do is click on one of the pink circles in the reveal globe on the bottom right hand side of the screen. After those are used up, the globe slowly fills back up to give you another reveal. There are also other ways to get reveals. Some of the boxes in Safe Haven have full reveals in them. If you click on one of those, you get 5 more reveals. I've had as many as 5 of those available for the game. The other way is to use a wand of reveal. Three of the boxes in Safe Haven have the pieces of them within. You can change wands once your reveal wand is complete by clicking on the blue book in the right hand corner of the screen and clicking on the reveal wand to select it. It restores individual reveals fairly rapidly.

I was extremely disappointed with this game. Didn't get past 15 minutes of the demo. I guess I'm getting spoiled with all of the great adventure HOG's out there now. This seemed very hum drum.

I'm still stuck on the last gold key in Chapter 5 -- the hint about being near the left pedistal still did not help. I'm about to give up on this game -- too difficult to be fun-you shouldn't have to find things by accident. Is there a link for spoilers? Thanks
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Please DON'T give up on it yet. You do not need to worry about it. The key is not needed to finish the chapter. If you can't find it now, it will be there in the future. Sometimes the keys are harder to find in the puzzles, but one constant in this game, is that there is always the ability to find the keys you missed during the remainder of hidden object rounds. The keys you miss are always available in the rest of the rounds.
There are no links for spoilers yet, and I saw that gamezebo was working on a walkthrough. I really would love to help them to do so, but could find no link at all to offer my help.

Thanks! I knew that I could finish the chapter -- I didn't know if not getting all the secrets would affect my final score. That makes me feel better!

The walktrough for this game was obiously written after one trip through The game. It has a LOT of errors, and since the strategy guide they are selling is the same as the walktrough, it has the same errors.
A lot of the game is random, including which keys are required, items required, some puzzle solutions, what you get in the Safe Haven Boxes, the tree questions, and the scenes used in the fairy queen puzzle. So everyone, PLEASE remeber this when looking at the walkthrough there.
They also posted that they have an exclusive on this game, and we already know that the statement is false. It was released for sale to the general public on June 19!!!

Mountain of Legends puzzles. I would LOVE to help you on this one, but this is a puzzle that is entirely random as to the order to ring the bells. Chances are far better than even that I would give you the order that worked for me and it would be entirely wrong and that would make you NUTS~~

This game is most frustrating and interesting. The fact that many of the items are small and hard to find does not bother me. Actually the harder they are to find the more challenged I feel. It is that challenge which will cause me to finish this game and probably try it again.

Just started this game, and I can not figure out, the puzzle for ringing the bells in chapter 2 maybe Iam missing something!
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
There are 2 items that go under the curtain. You need to use detect to ind both of them. I'm not sure which one you have so I'll tell you both. The crystal ball is in the center picture toward the bottom. The Wand is in the lower right picture in the water and right against the path that has the torches.

Hi Tazsmithy.. If I do remember well you've to assemble 6 bells in the sceenery... after finding them ofcourse...anyway you've 2 hang 2 bells in the entrance one at the left and one at the right on the hooks..
After you've solved this there's a small tile above the entrance with musical notes.. click on this tile.. you hear the bells and try to play the exact sound with all the bells in the sceenery by clicking.. don't forget to click on the blue/green coloured ball left in the sceenery to "awake" ( melt ) the bells first otherwise you're not able to let them ring...
Good luck
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
first you have to melt all of the bells. The two that you have to hang are near the steps. One of them is in the block of ice below the archers feet on the top of the stairs. The other is near the bottom of the stair in front of the feet of the statue on the left. Put both of those in your invenory. Next there are two hooks to hang them on on the underside of the porch ceiling on the right and the other on the left.
Next click on the musical scale and it will ring out the bell notes. Then just play each of the 5 bells. (You need to use the wind spell to do this.) and determine which is the highest note and follow the notes down to the lowest. Then you just ring the bells in that order, from highest to lowest using wind.
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
There are 5 bells and you do not need to click on the blue/green ball. You can melt all of them with fire

Good Afternoon all I'm not really sure I like this game. HArd to figure out what to do in some spots. Right now I am stuck in the room with the plant that you have to heal and give a potion to but not sure what to do next. Does anyone know? Thanks
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
First you light the 5 candles. Next you heal the plant. Move the heal spell over the various areas/branches and you heal the part that is outlined in bright green. Then move on and find the next one until the head of the plant is alive. Then you take the test tube from the holder and you mix the colors of potions the plant asks for out of the blue, yellow and red potions only. The light blue potion is not used at all for this. You have to mix and match colors in certain orders so if one order doesn't work change to another. Example: Yellow Red Yellow will be different than Yellow Yellow Red. I hope this helps you.

Hey all, and especially Legendia who seems to be the Expert on this game. The Gamezebo Strategy Guide (by me) is now posted here.
I know that there may be errors or omissions, but for those who are having trouble, the Guide might help you a little bit.
Legendia, thanks for all the Tips you have posted in this Game's Forum. I'm sure they will be very valuable to the players.
Anybody who wants to Friend me on Facebook, you can read my name in the credits for the Guide. Just explain who you are in a message with the Friend Request.
Have fun playing, all!

I agree that the items are just too small to eye, for example..these old eyes have difficutly in seeing the black keys in the rooms. I also can't seem to get all the parts to the last magic wand. Any help would be really appreciated.

Hey all, and especially Legendia.
Thank you Very much for the acknowledgement. I took a look at your guide and it is a MAJOR improvement over the big fish guide. Kudos!!! There is one major error though, but I'm not sure it was your fault. I posted a message in two places announcing an update to the game. One of the problems that was fixed, due to discussion here, and me PMing Bryce about was the location of the key in the Crypt of Heroes puzzle. Yes it WAS behind the left the left pedistal (I replied that it was incredibly well hidden then PMed Bryce), but that was discovered and an mia message sent "just in time" for it to be changed for the final version. It is now located above the upper paw of the right hand "beast" between the lit candles on the gold line going up, and another Gold key is located where the mia key was. In other words, BCSoft swithed keys.
Also, if you want to update the tree questions in Chapter 10, I had posted all of the possible ones I came across here. Please feel free to update that area.
Job well Done!!!

Thanks, Legendia for your kind words! It was a lot of work and it's nice to know that it was appreciated by the Expert.
I don't have the ability to change the guide MYSELF once it's posted on Gamezebo (I need Erin or Joel to do it and they have a LOT on their plates right now), but I'll see if we can get those updates in soon. In the meantime, I think this Forum is doing a great job of guiding players at the sticky points.
That Gold Key was a stinker, glad you helped them get the updated game fixed.
One thing I could never figure out was how to mix a Cyan/Light Blue Potion in the Dark Magician's Lab.
And as for the Tree Questions in Chapter 10, your comprehensive Spoiler list on another Topic in this Forum is the best I have seen.
Once again, thanks for your support.
Jeff

As a follow up on the Strategy Guide, I noticed that the screen shots may appear very dark in certain browsers (Such as Firefox 3.5) that was just released.
I checked it with Internet Explorer 7.0 and they display a bit brighter there, so you might want to use a version of IE to display them, if you are having trouble seeing them.
I'm taking today off and playing some games just for pleasure!

Can someone please tell me what the Reveal button does when clicked. I can't see anything indicating that it IS working.
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Hi Pnk the reveal button is your hint button. You have 5 hints to start with and then it will slowly refill to give one hint at a time. When you click on it a ball of light will show you what you are looking for.

I realize the Reveal button is the hint button and that there are 5 hints to start with, etc, etc. I don't gert a ball of light and there are several others who don't get anything either. I'm glad you do, though.

The last magic wand is the wand of keys. The only way to get it is to finish the game with an average score of A or better.
