Need help too! Cannot find yeti stick. No monsters to drop it?

Yeti's drop the Yeti sticks. Those are the monsters on 2 feet on the 4th island. They will only drop the stick when you need them like the snail shells on the 1st island, There is a period of time between about 100-105 days when no Yeti's attack

Can anyone tell me how to get through this game faster? Any suggestions? The fastest I finished in is 138 days. It takes me about 25-30 days at each farm. I saw the post where people did it in under 100 days. Are there things I should avoid buying. What's the best way to use your experience points? Is it worth it to upgrade the statue and alter? How do you use the statue at the 2nd farm anyhow, that one doesn't seem too helpful. I have read the tips and tricks for the original magic farm. Any suggestions welcome.
I do have one tip though. When on the bonus rounds, after you buy the boat from the pirate king don't talk to him again until you have at least $55,000. This is where Robin gets "lost". Between the pirate king and the other pirate it costs 55,000 plus 30 black roses to get Robin back and healthy. If you don't talk to the pirate he doesnt get "lost"
