I came into this game by way of the Alawar beta-testing program. I recently tested the follow-up to this game “Magic Ball 4.” I was completely taken away by it. But I thought I needed more practice before diving into the new one. And since “Magic Ball 3” was on sale for $4.99, I just couldn’t resist. What a great buy. This is such a cool game particularly if you like “Peggle,” pinball, or any of the brick-shooter games. “Magic Ball” is such an appropriate title. That’s how it feels. It’s so clever and whimsical. The graphics are great. I liked that every single round was different. Although, it’s divided into 4 major sections with 83 levels: Pirates with skeletons and sharks, Cowboys and Indians, Medieval with castles and fair maidens, and then various animal themed with a witch. The longest being the latter. Overall, it was challenging for me because you can’t pause in the middle of the game. Once you complete a level it takes you directly to the next one. You can take a break at that point, but there is no pause button. That’s also the downside because there’s no way to go back to the main menu unless you lose the round. But you can replay a level and there is also a level map so it’s not too bad. One thing that required a bit of a learning curve were the power-ups. There’s no real explanation for them and there’s not really a help section. So there are good and bad power-ups and it’s more like trial and error. But this game was so much fun and addictive. You only get 3 lives and once you exhaust those it takes you back to the main menu. But you can always pickup where you left off. I liked this so much that I bought “Magic Ball 4” that’s still a beta. I definitely think this game improves hand-eye coordination and endurance. I would at least recommend playing the demo if this is your sort of thing. I’ve avoided this type of game before, but I really liked it. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Another brick busting hit! Similar to Strike Ball 3, it has its differences, like powerups for example. It's very easy, with very little challenge, but it's still a "magical" experience. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Fantastic 3-D graphics, fun power-ups (and downs), fun sound effects. Basically, it's a 3-D version of the other games in the series. My kids love it. We all got a chuckle with the pirate level, where you could see the insides of the sharks as you shot them to bits. Too cute! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
