Lovely Kitchen 2 wants to cook up hot stuff this spring

When Lovely Kitchen debuted back in 2009, we weren’t terribly wowed. A time management game where players would help Mary fulfill her childhood dream of being a famous cook with her own restaurant, the gameplay felt a little dated and the English felt a little broken. Cut the 3 years later, and Blam! Games are preparing to launch the sequel Lovely Kitchen 2. But can it cook up something impossible to resist?

While little is known about what will set Lovely Kitchen 2 apart from its predecessor, Blam! Games are promising trips to a variety of countries around the world for Mary, new heroes, and playable mini-games. As well, players will “create a restaurant of your dream, hire musicians and a chef, and learn the best recipes of the world.”

While no specific release date has been nailed down yet, the official site is listing a “spring 2011” release. We’re going to go ahead and assume that’s a typo – expect this one to hit sometime in the first half of 2012.
