Overall I liked this game quite a bit; although it's clearly designed for children, it's a superior children's game. The hint system is an odd one, but once I got used to it I found it straightforward enough. I found the objects to be well hidden, but not impossible to find, and it didn't bother me that I was looking for the same (logical)objects over and over. The biggest problem is that common HOG problem of having some of the objects only react to the cursor in a precise place, meaning you keep clicking on the correct thing and keep not being able to pick it up. I found this to be especially true with the 12 stones in the tent scene. However, since the game is untimed and there is no random click penalty, I would call this irritating rather than a major frustration. Loved the artwork and the sound. I also give another recommendation for the David Grann book - this game really only deals with the Fawcett expedition in a minor background way. Which reminds me - one object I was surprised we were not hunting for was insect repellant! It certainly seems that improvements in that field have gone a long way towards making Amazon exploration less hellish. Give this Review a KudosReport as Inappropriate
