I am getting very frustrated with this game. There seems to be instructions displayed in the upper left corner of the screen, which I cannot see. The magnifying glass is offset by about 25% of the screen. The right side is not showing on the screen, but because of the offset of the mag. glass, I can see the room that is on that side through the glass, but I'm still missing a complete view. (Sorry if not explaining this right...) I'm not able to find all of the items, and cannot progress. There is no option for windowed, which is what I've done with another game that seemed to "fall off" the screen. This has only happened once or twice, so I'm thinking there's something weird in the game itself. Does anyone have a suggestion for what I can try to fix this game, without messing up the others that I play? Do I have something set on my system that is causing this one game to display "too big"? It has such good reviews and seems like a challenge. Thanks! Aviva Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply

Is there a way to upload screen images on Gamezebo? I have a screen shot of what I see. The example is in the second "book" where you found a box that needs to be opened. I see a bare playing field... no idea what I'm supposed to do. Also, the list of items that you are to find does not appear the first time I play. I only discovered there is a list when I went back in to do the screen print. I thought the list of items not being known was part of the game! Oy!

You can't upload images to Gamezebo but you can post to something like Photobucket and post the link to your picture on Gamezebo.

I don't have a Mac but can you adjust the resolution settings on your display screen? On my computer if you make the resolution higher that will make the image on the screen smaller. Games are supposed to adjust to the correct resolution to fit but maybe if you adjust your resolution up it will help. Just a stab in the dark.

    Lizzie,
Thanks for the Photobucket suggestion... I already had an account and never made the connection. Doh!

I tried to set the screen resolution to the highest allowed and still the same trouble. (I think I always have it set there anyway.)

Thanks for taking the time to suggest. It's appreciated!

    Hi Aviva,Welcome to Gamezebo

By the look of your screenshot I would say that you have a glitch in your game since there should be an image in the middle. I don't know much about Mac's but with Windows most people would uninstall the game and then resinstall. I would contact the people that you bought the game from and ask what you should do.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but maybe someone else will come by that owns a Mac. Good Luck,

Here's the response from uClick tech support: "
Unfortunately, The Mac build for The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes will not work with machines running a R600 based Video Card (the HD 2400, HD 2600, HD 3750, HD 2900) and Tiger Operating System. If Apple and ATI ever update the drivers for this configuration there is a chance that Sherlock will be able to work but we don't anticipate this happening. Big Fish has been informed and we've requested that they add a note to the Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes - Mac download page."
