I just bought the game and haven't gotten very far but so far, it's been fun and challenging. I have seen where this game is in the top 10 games and had heard that it was a good game. I'll have to play more and see what's going to happen next. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

3.5 stars would be about perfect for me. Gorgeous graphics, nice music and I always enjoy a weird story. Way too easy however and these creators are REALLY obsessed with glyphs (I assume they also brought us the last 2 Glyph games). And did Katya really figure out who she is at the end? I guess she knows she's supposed to protect the glyphs but that part of the story kinda just trailed off somewhere in the middle. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I am a bit disappointed I bought this game. I played 1 hour trial and rushed to buy the full version, but it appeared I only needed another 1-1.5 hours to finish it. I played it several times more since I already paid. I'll make a list. Pluses: - Great graphics - people who liked Dream Chronicles and Pahelika: Secret Legends will enjoy this game (giving a 4 only for that) - Nice atmosphere (music and fantasy world map as well as weird creatures you need to talk to) - Objects very nicely blend in the maps - You will need to visit to previously visited locations to find items - Wand gestures Minuses: - Too short (graphics is too good to make it longer) - The game itself is more Hidden Object than questing. Quests are more like a nice addition. You will not get any complicated plot lines or investigation; code guessing is minimal. - WAY too many hints. The main character will tell you everything you need to do: "I guess I need to solve this puzzle to open the door" or "I need to light up a furnace. Luckily there is a lot of coal around". This hints do not even let you think for a second to find out what to do. - Puzzles are of a kindergarden level and absolutely repeat all other games, they are just easier. Pressing 4 buttons is now called "playing an organ", Items that you need to apply to, for example, open a door are all listed, you don't even have to think, the objects are hardly hidden, you won't need to open any drawers or move objects around. And I am not even mentioning good old jigsaw puzzles. - Bad layout for switching maps. Sometimes I had to struggle to find that Arrow that led me out of the map. Would have been better if there just was a little icon somewhere in the corner of the screen. - The objects will always be in the same place, no matter how many times you play Conclusion: The game is very beautiful and if you like playing atmospheric games - this game is for you. If you want to solve some quests and intricate puzzles find something else Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This is a nice game, but experienced game players may find it a bit too easy. Nice selection of puzzles. However there are limited instructions, but you can figure out most of it. If not, there are lots of walkthroughs out and about. The one major downfall is that the game is really short. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I am afraid I too will be in the minority as i don't care for this game. The objects were hard to find, and putting things together to figure out what to do was not logical. The story was too bizarre and far out for me. I give it 2 stars for being very pretty. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I'm going to be in the minority here and say that I didn't like this game at all. I'm good for a wonderful, challenging game, but this game proved to be a bit tedious. Maybe it's because I'm not as sharp as I used to be, but I found that the game got bogged down. For example, it took me forever and a day to find the hammers (I forgot the name of the section), and then when I got to the chimney part, I gave up. Couldn't make that wand work. So it became way too taxiing for me, so I'm out. Glad everyone else enjoyed it though. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Once I figured out what I was supposed to do, I enjoyed this game a lot. I only had recourse to the walkthrough occasionally, although the glyph puzzles seemed to lose coherence as the game progressed. They were logical at first, but then I couldn't figure out the progression wanted. Great ideas - hope we can have some more in the Kuros vein Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I was uncertain about this game at first, as I'm not an adventure game player usually, only enticed in by the fact that it was part HOG. However, I'm glad that I've done it - though whether I would want to play it all that often again is a bit of a question. Great graphics, good'ish story line. The hint system needs an overhaul; the developers were far too stingy. The mini-games were mainly good, but far too many were glyph-tracing. For me that's a problem as I use a left-handed mouse and the game over-rides that and turns it into a right-handed mouse - destroys dexterity. (This is a particular beef of mine.) As an inexperienced player of this sort of game I was surprised how quickly it was over (excluding screaming time with the glyphs), so experts should waltz through. I liked this game because it made me use my brain. I got stuck in several areas including the mini games where if it weren't for the power ups I'd still probably be playing this. Thank goodness this game took me a few days to finish. These are the kind of games I like. Forget playing this game and being able to complete it in a few hours. It took me several days to finish. If you like to think and want a challenge try this one. You won't be disappointed. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Fun, immersive game with gorgeous graphics. More of an adventure game than a HOG. I loved the variety and types of minigames and puzzles. The game was fun and challenging without being frustrating. I didn't have to use the walkthrough! I liked that tasks had you going back to previously completed sections. A decent length for a casual game, between 2 1/2-3 hrs. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Beautiful. Mysterious. Challenging, but not too hard. Others have complained that it's too short, but it's just right for the level of work that went into the game. Reminds me a lot of the Myst series in that not too much is explained, you have to figure out things on your own. Eagerly awaiting the sequel. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

a thoroughly enjoyable, engrossing game! great graphics, voice acting, concept, etc. its actually 4.5 stars. what i didn't like was that you'd only get a few hints for the entire game but i ended up not even having to use them, objects were easier to find compared to other HOG where the objects are miniscule & the screen soooo dark; you actually get to see an outline or a picture of what you're looking for, so that really helped a lot. there is no option to skip the puzzles (made me finish the game a lot longer, lol); puzzles are actually good exercises for the brain, but since i'm no good at them, i would at least like the option of skipping them & go back to them later. i couldn't even wait for it to come out at bigfishgames & bought it immediately from sandlot. definitely, great value for my money. This is a great game. Love the adventure and HO combination. Kinda keeps you on the edge of your seat not sure what to expect which is nice in these days of too much repetition in a lot of games. You have to really think through the puzzles which is frustrating, but a real plus when you complete it. Thanks Sandlot for a great game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This game was such a nice and unexpected surprise. There have been a few games like that this year "Wandering Willows," "Emerald City Confidential," and I can comfortably add "Kuros" to that list. I'm really getting spoiled by some of these adventure/hidden-object games. And "Kuros" has left me wanting more than I'll probably ever get. The game isn’t long. But "Kuros" handily did in one game what "Dream Chronicles" did in 3. For me, that's the closest match. Given the high resolution of the graphics in "Kuros," I'm not surprised by the length. Everything is so beautifully rendered with an array of colors. Sandlot has built its name on the "Cake Mania" dynasty, but here's hoping that "Kuros" gets the sequel treatment, also. I can't downgrade the game for being short because it's executed at such a high level. What's important to me is whether the goal that was set up at the outset is accomplished and whether the resolution is thoughtful. And "Kuros" does all of that within its own limitations and boundaries. There are 5 main realms: wood, fire, water, metal, and aether . And each of them has sub locations which includes a corresponding glyphstone that you have to repair by completing a puzzle. 16 sub locations in total. There are interesting characters/guides that help the main character Katya along her journey. One nice thing, once you complete the game you can go back to the various locations and just look around and take everything all in. The only shortcoming is probably the hint system. You have to collect what the game calls “chromatic lenses” in order to use the hints. I don’t think there’s a skip option for the puzzles either. Although, I did come across a “scrying orb” which can be used to solve a puzzle. Despite all of that, I was able to make it through without a walkthrough and utilizing few hints. So perhaps the length was an advantage. But this is definitely one of the best games that I’ve had the pleasure of playing this year. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I am pretty much an intermediate level player of this type game and I really enjoyed it overall. Likeable characters; very imaginative and well-drawn scenes; easy to navigate around the map once you get the hang of the procedure; hunts logically connected to plot and items fairly placed; beautiful scenery and non-irksome musical score. Definitely needs a better hint system. Would be improved by letting you know if you have at least found everthing in one scene. I found the glyph puzzles time consuming - and there were LOTS of them; otherwise, good mix of puzzles with good level of difficulty. Next release needs better instructions/examples, as others have said. Overall, really had a good time playing this one and was good buy IMO. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I liked this game was challenging but not impossible. The key is to keep looking for the map pieces. I collected them at the beginning of each round as much as possible... the worked on the puzzles knowing I could move on when I solved it. Can't wait for Kuros II! This is a fun game and really beautiful clear graphics, and the voices are pleasant to listen too. I bought the game after trying the demo and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is what is needed more hints and more options to skip puzzles without having find the scryr staff would have really been appreciated and is needed. Some of the puzzles could have used an example so we understood what to do better. Also I hated drawing the glyphs with the mouse. So it is 4 stars all the way in my opinion. Game is somewhat similar to Treasure Seekers in terms of gameplay, but with lots of other stuff thrown in, great mix of hidden object/adventure/minigames. Minigames can't be skipped, and the story seems rushed. Not all mini-games comes with a tutorial. Hints are few in the game. Graphics are amazing though, and I am having a blast playing this game, but it should have been polished some more before release. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
