    I have placed the coal in the furnace and the dials on the machine on the right have changed colour...however when I use my wand and click on the top of the furnace, then the anvil no selecton to place my tongs, cup etc. appears on the screen. I have used all the coal I have found. Did I make a mistake placing the coal in the furnace first? Do I have to go back and start the game all over again if I made this error?     lindap, have you sealed the cracks on the chimney ?  You click and drag the wand to the symbols on the chinmney and trace them with the wand.  When that is done you click on the anvil to place the supplies.  There were 8 pieces of coal.  You should be able to see if you have them all if the gage needle is all the way to the right.

    It appears I have all the coal...the gauge needle is all the way to the right...but I can't see the cracks in the chimmney...I have used the wand and still nothing happens...are the cracks at the top or center of the chimmney or lower...I just can't find them...thanks...

    Lindap, there should be some symbols on the chimney.  About middle I think they were.  They should light up so you can see them.  You mentioned tongs, there are two tongs, different shaped, hammer, metal, and cup.  You click on the chimney and then click and drag the wand to the symbols on the chimney and trace them with the wand.  Then you click on the anvil and place the above items.

    I still can't access the chimmney area with my wand. I have checked the walkthrough and for some reason the chimmney eludes me....Can anyone tell me where the glyphs are? I've clicked my wand everywhere....thank you.

    Hi Lindap and Gsock are you using the wand that is to the right of your inventory when you trace the symbols?  You can check the walkthrough by clicking on the tips and tricks tab right above this white page.

    Yup, used the wand and checked out the tips and tricks info.  Still no luck.   When I use the wand, it does sparkle more but nothing happens.  Anymore ideas or pics to helpout??

    I'm having the same problem with the chimney. I'm about to call it quits. I trace the cracks with the wand and some of the symbols light up, but when I trace other cracks, nothing happens.

    Hi Janissi...

    When nothing happens you might be using the wrong cracks??

    You might take a look at the Walkthru as Granny123 said.. some posts above yours... It helps you out..
