I really wanted to give this game more stars but the game play just didn't seem to flow the right direction. The idea was an extremely good one and I could see what they were going for while playing it, but it could have been so much more. I think that the major issue that I had were the upgrades and not being able to use them sooner (such as your chefs and such), and if they were to make a second one, and fixed some key issues, or even fixed them in this one and re-released it (if that is even possible) then it would be an outstanding game. Honestly, this game probably would've gotten 4 stars from me if not for the "Master Chef" mode. I bought the game thinking that once I finished "Story Mode" I'd be in for a more challenging set of levels, but that wasn't quite true. Although I've already finished the first restaurant in Master Chef mode (yes, it's the same restaurants) and someone told me the difference is that the customers get impatient more quickly, I don't see any difference. The fact that the developers even left in the same tutorial (how to use cookies, how to use the fast cook/microwave thing, etc)in the early levels tells me they didn't really consider how to differentiate the two modes. Another comment, if not complaint, is that there are too many similarities to Burger Shop, at least in how the game is structured, not the actual theme or game play: choose one of three new upgrades each level, the story vs. master level with master using the same levels but being more difficult, there's also challenge levels similar to Burger Shop where you aim to get a certain score per restaurant. By no means would I suggest the developers copied Burger Shop, but the influences are there (unless, of course, both games have been influenced by a third, earlier game that i'm not aware of). I'm a huge fan of Burger Shop and I feel this game tries to use the novelties of BS without really building on them, making it seem too familiar. As for the actual gameplay, it's not bad. The mix of assigning tasks, moving ingredients and doing your own cooking is interesting. I didn't like that I couldn't outsource some tasks I really hated (like the mixer or food processor); on the other hand, most of the other activites i had to do where similar to the Cooking Academy skills I had so painstakingly mastered, but simplified. For anyone who has played Cooking Academy, you'll find something disappointing about the fact that there is no real penalty for wrong actions, or the shortened processes that made it so authentic. This is a good attempt to integrate the novelty of Cooking Academy into a time management game, but I was a bit disappointed. If this were a game from an unknown developer, I'd probably be quite impressed. Unfortunately, coming from the developers of Cooking Academy, I was expecting a bit more. Nevertheless, it's worth the one hour trial and at least my three stars. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I love this game! Yes, we have all played restaurant time management games, but this one offers so much more. The characters are great, even when their heads explode when you are too slow with the food. I felt that way in fast food places before...lol. But, I find it addictive and very enjoyable! 3 1/2 points would be more accurate. It isn;t actually that bad a game, but compared to others, it can get plain annoying at times. You can't decide on your own upgrades, only occasionally get faster chefs. The whole flow is severly hampered by in between tasks that you have to do yourself, like set the temperature on the oven, and process or mix foods (add cover, medium speed, add parmesen, i.e.). Getting expert on every level is therefore plain impossible, because with a meal consisting of so many clicks, you automatically fall behind. And two prep chefs and one cook is just not enough to handle all of it. Then there is the slightly annoying bug that you can switch boiling ingredients earlier than switching a grilled with a boiled ingredient - you'll know what I mean once you start. It caused me to click too early all the time. I stopped before the last restaurant, because that just git me 3 angry customers within 3 meal orders - too much hassle for my taste. An ok TM game. I'd like if it had more upgrades - the faster chefs weren't really that fast:) + maybe some decorations would be nice (but that's the girly part of me talking). I also didn't like how i had to process and mix all food by myself because i really grew tired of that:P. There's quite a few restaurant settings and different kinds of food (italian, french, mexican, ...) that makes you quite hungry while playing:). There're different dishes in every restaurant - kudos to that! It's pretty challenging and you don't get bored because even though you have chefs they cannot prepare all the dishes by themselves so you have to help. There're a few different customers - depending on their patience - and you have to figure out which to serve first. I liked it, but it's not one of those games i'll be replying anytime soon... Kitchen Brigade could very well be addicting to me. It is pretty easy to navigate and there is obviously a certain approach to how and which customer you should start cooking for and to which helper you should assign a job to. So there is a challenge and has many candid traits of a time management game. Very well developed. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I really enjoyed this game! It made me think of cooking academy cause you got to help with the cooking yourself. But there was a lot of deciding on what to do for yourself and who to pawn the other jobs off on. I think it was a good mix and a lot of fun. You get to add new dishes or upgrades. Some of the recipes can be hard or really long but I hadn't had a customer leave yet and I was well into the second restraunt! It's loads of fun. I really did like this game and it's take on things. I deliberately left this one alone for a month or so before downloading it because of the saturation of restaurant style games and pre-conceived notion of being disappointed or bored. However, I was proved wrong, yet again. Kitchen Brigade has a number of features in game play unlike any other restaurant style game (although a little reminiscent of Amelie's Cafe) where other people help you prepare the food. I thoroughly enjoy playing it and having the choice to buy upgrades or meals for those high tipping customers. Check your pre-judged hat at the door, and enjoy Kitchen Brigade. Oh, and a bit of a tip - do as much as you can yourself and cook the final meals yourself - its way quicker than those lackies of yours, and your customers will be happier! This is also one of those games that makes you hungry - so playing coming into dinner time is the best. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
