I agree with Molly. I think all the HE games are well done, but I think this one was my least favorite. I have to still say that Titanic is my favorite of all of them (even Amazon), but on Everest, I really was rather bored. It was definitely well done just like the other HE games, but I barely remember it and had to run back through a few levels to remind myself of what it was and how I felt back when I first played it (I'm just catching up on a lot of reviews here after playing literally hundreds of games in the last couple years). I would recommend it to any HOG lover, but it is more of a rainy-day game than a so-excited-to-start-it-up-again type of game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I enjoy HOG games but for me to actually buy them rather than just stopping with the demo, there has to be something more to grab me whether it's the music, graphics, story, easy to navigate, etc. HE:Everest is lovely to look at, has nice music and an interesting story and is not frustrating to play. But for me at least, there isn't any replay value since the objects you're supposed to locate don't change positions in the scenes from level to level. I own a couple of other HOGs with a similar setup (Redrum is one) but I keep replaying them because they have other elements that I love. I would recommend HE:Everest to HOG fans but for me, meh. Agree with other reviewers that this a a very pleasing to the eye, non-frustrating, easy but interesting to play HOG. Big bonus feature for me is that the "find 20 of these" screens ask for really visible, often beautiful, well-placed and not sadistically camoflagued, objects. And FUN stuff like cats and butterflies and colorful items to search for; not your endless, monochrome swords and planks. {BTW, "Escape The Museum" is one of the worst offenders in this regard IMO.) The fact that the puzzle pieces can be difficult to detach from your cursor in the intermittent jigsaw minipuzzles was a minor detraction, but the puzzle pictures themselves were fun to reconstruct and just the right difficulty IMO. Giving this one actually 4.5 as it is not extraordinary, but very fun and worth the cost. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I agree with origami-san. HE Everest is one of the few games I keep coming back to, with its great music, scenery and fun game play. I like HE Amazon quite a bit too, but some if its mini-games are too challenging to be relaxing, and I haven't found a way to skip them. Everest's seem just right... One of my favourite games. I´m just replaying it for the xth time. Funny story, never getting in the way of HOG fun. Great, fun graphics. Subtly hidden objects to find. Nice music. Clever hint system, you can choose which item you want the hint for. And you can win extra hints by finding jewels in the scenes. Excellent game, one of a very good series. A winner without any hesitations. There is nothing that I didn't like about this one. Just the right difficulty level (I never finished Madam fate)to take hours of time with fun seeking items. Here is hoping they come out with MANY more of these. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
