Can't find where/how to edit a post here. I meant to say I have XP on the desktop and Vista on laptop. I've used 2 different Logitech versions, a cordless Gyration and the HP optical mouse that came with the desktop, same problem, pointer won't release a piece once picked up, left or right click. Haven't tried the touchpad on laptop yet but never thought it would be good for games. Send a Kudo Post a Reply

The only real problem, I remember having (it's been awhile since I played it) was with the skeleton. I am using windows xp on a dell desktop and was using a corded logitech mouse (have a cordless one now). The other puzzles were a little slow, but not as bad as the skeleton. Made sure the head was the last piece I put in place and just kept at it. Sometimes it clicked right in and others I just kept working it 'til it popped in. Don't think there is any way to edit your messages, at the moment. I just reread what I write before i post!! Send a Kudo Post a Reply

Well DUH. Maybe I just read instructions wrong. Is it EITHER 3 things similar OR 3 things different? I've been trying to get 3 symbols that had both same and different elements in a group, like color and/or shape, solid or striped together. Didn't occur to me some of the groups could have nothing similar. My brain sure can complicate things if that was the case, but I'm not replaying again just to find out. My only other disappointment was by the title I thought the whole game would be in east Asia so was really thrown by being all over SoAmerica and Europe, seemed to lose it's flavor or theme. I didn't learn anything about the locale as in Rome, Paris, San Fran or Sydney. I'd prefer they stick to a geographical theme next time. If the Amazon I don't care to spend time in Siberia ya know? Hi Linda, nice someone is still around since I got this game a year ago, gave up. Maybe an Expedition Revival? I did find by right clicking a lot some of the pieces snapped in easily IF I'm hovering in the right place. But it's mostly sticking just trying to move pieces out of the way to see the borders when they are covered up. I've loved a cordless mouse in the past before I got so into games, it would last over a month, maybe 2. On games I'd be recharging batteries every few hours or 2 days the most with intensive use. So now I'm back to cords as I've got a game running almost 24/7, well, 16/7, I do sleep LOL. Before the laptop I had my monitor near my bed and cordless was great as was a small keyboard. I can't sit at a desk more than a half hour with physical issues. Just have to find something for my hands to do in so much idle time. All my old (over 50) games are now loaded in the laptop, expensive toy just to play games but works much better for my "NEEDS". Could never go back to crossword puzzle books and a pencil now! Of course I had to start every game over with history files on the desktop (no network) so why I was back on Everest, replaying them all from start to finish. thx for reply Send a Kudo Post a Reply

Sorry, I'm not positive, but I believe that all 3 things have to be different. I only bought the game about last fall, played it a few times over, but can't totally remember it all. As for the mouse, I got a cordless for x-mas and love it. I have only changed my batteries once, but then my comp. isn't on 24/7, maybe only 5 or 6 hrs per day (maybe more? :) I haven't figured out how to turn the mouse off, or even if you can. Still not totally technically inclined!! :). Anyway, hope this helped. LindaB Send a Kudo Post a Reply

So I'm not the only one with the sticky mouse problems on this game! I had no problems with the map puzzles, but most of the others, especially the skeleton puzzle, were impossible to finish. I'd pick up one piece and then just could not drop it at all - dragging it all over the board without being able to set it down. Really irritating since otherwise I love the game. Sticky mouse issues on Everest puzzles

I've had this game a long time and played on both my HP Pavillion desktop and now again on new laptop with vista. Also used several different mice. On the jigsaws when I pick up a piece to move to a location it won'd detach from the pointer and I waste a LOT of time (and lose) clicking it over and over to let go. I never could complete the map puzzles trying to either move big pieces out of the way to see or them not releasing from the pointer. On several, the pieces won't move over to the border, one is the skeleton where you know where the top head goes visually but the skull stops short of the place it must have to go, about an inch short of the destinatio. Very frustrating but if I just go on to Next instead of timing out in the just 5 minute limit, the game does progress to the next scenes. The final puzzle I've either gotten by sheer chance or not at all and made no sense. There are already 2 tiles in the first and last boxes which can't be moved out or changed and I am at a total loss how they have any similarities. I think there is a glitch, when I push the white button they either kick in and game over or not. I'd sure like to know what the third symbol is to match the 2 already in the first three.
