WOW Lizzie you are all down with the game and I just finished the demo. Getting very slow in this hot weather. I will be sure to read the journals, some games I just skip them but from your post I guess there are clues there just like the tutorial said.
Have a great day!

Hi El, The journal doesn't give any specific solution to any puzzles or locations of hidden objects. Its mostly just funny quirky ramblings of the old guy. And some of them are very funny.

I usually skip the script reading storylines but this one I don't want to miss a page. It's a scream (at least my kind of understated humor) First one that cracked me up was bitten by a parrot and wrote "I was just trying to be nice". Now I don't know what is so funny about that unless sadly relating to same experience. Gives me the giggles just imagining I'm hearing him say that. We need more of these writers. No meladramatics here, just constant screwups. I love this guy.

Usually when I do the demos, I skip the conversation and reading stuff. When I actually get the game and start playing, then I take my time and read everything. I think you get more involved with the story and game play then. Looking forward to this one. LindaB

Great humor in HE Amazon journal

“I found a donut cleverly hidden amongst a patch of mushrooms. It was very good and didn’t taste old at all. Or maybe I just wanted it to taste good. Maybe it wasn’t even a donut.”
Here is this old guy wandering around in the jungle and then in underground rooms and naturally he’s tired, worried and hungry. But instead of the story line being dark and foreboding it is refreshingly quirky and funny. How about when he found the peanut in his beard. That was another good one.
I’m going to play it again just so I can read the journal again and see if I missed any of the jokes. Kudos to the writers on this one! Send a Kudo Post a Reply Quote & Reply
