How to Play the Hello Game
Being a mayor of Hello City gives you the responsibility of meeting your citizenry. To do this, a mini game has been included called the Hello Game. The objective here is to get as many citizens to wave back when you say “hello” to one. Here are some tips to increase your chances of getting more wave backs on every try.
Your town hall will have a hand icon and a number indicating how many times you can play the game in a given period. Click on the hand and pick one resident to say hello to. The first one will wave back and a yellow circle will start to appear. If another resident walks within the “hello area” (yellow circle), it will wave back as well. Getting as many residents to walk in the area before it disappears will create a chain reaction. You get 2 coins per wave back.
One tip to get more residents to wave back is to wait for a crowd to form in your city. They normally appear on an empty land area rather than those near the buildings. The screenshot above shows around 13 residents in an area. Depending on what direction they are walking to, this will help in creating a big chain reaction. It’s safe to say to click the person in the middle so that it touches other people around him. The trick here is to start saying hello when most of them are near each other.
You get three tries when you visit your city daily. Once you’ve used that up, one is added every 4 hours. Visiting your friend’s cities will give you one try per day. The more neighbors you have, the more chances you get to play the game.
As of this writing, the game developers have announced a Hello High Score contest for a chance to win 5,000 coins daily! This is rewarded to the player with the highest number of hellos in one try.
