At first I wasn't sure what to make of Ghost in the Sheet - beyond being a comedic adventure. Yet, after convincing myself that I since I had bought the game I might as well try it, well - I wasn't disappointed. In fact, I was actually wondering why I hadn't played the game before.
So you start off as a newly deceased ghost, forced to work for an overbearing boss in the afterlife. To top it off, you need to wear a sheet or, as the boss says, you'll disappear. The dialouge in this game is funny and witty with a dry sense of humor. The voice acting is addicting to listen to, as the different characters have distinct (mostly European content centered) accents.
You have various powers that you'll gain throughout the game, which you will immediately notice does NOT include an inventory. You can use objects within the scene, but since you're a ghost you can't carry those items around. This already separates the game from most (pretty much every) other adventure game out there.
While its true you don't have a journal to keep tabs on what you have read, unlike GZ's review, I never needed to write anything down in order play the game successfully. Other then a particuar math-oriented puzzle, the game's integrated humor makes it easy and even fun to read, click and remember the various bits of information thrown at you.
The puzzles range from easy to hard, requiring you to pay attention to the environment (reading papers, clicking on items, remembering locations that might be future hot-spots). Some people may find this game too difficult in that aspect, and on two occasions I remember needing a hint or two from the internet on how to proceed, but this game is very good and decently long.
With no trial for the game, you may be hesitant, but if ghosts and a slightly paranormal theme don't bother you, then you'll be sure to appreciate the humor this game can dish out from beginning to end.
