Frozen Synapse announced for iPad, Android tablets

Frozen Synapse, a much-loved asynchronous shooter currently available on Steam, is coming to iPad and Android tablets. Mode 7 told Eurogamer that it’s working hard to optimize the game for its new handheld environments. “It’s an exciting way to play the game and we hope it’ll introduce Frozen Synapse to a whole new audience,” said joint managing director Paul Taylor.

Cross-platform play is possible. In other words, you can start a game on PC, then take it to your tablet. Tablet features also include pinch, zoom, and the ability to drag waypoints around with your fingers.

Frozen Synapse will be available on the iPad by May 16. The Android version will follow at an unspecified date. No price has been finalized just yet.
