DUH, I wish we could edit out posts than I would not look like such a dummy. If you fail a level you do not have to start at the beginning you just replay the level but still keep your points, powerups, and any acorns you have collected.
I will now sit down and shut up and let the experts here explain the game which will be a lot better than my explanation.

Hey, does anyone else have this problem: The game is very slow and sluggish, and the mouse won't move fast, and the game pauses, alot. Is there a bug in the game, or am I not doing something right? I haven't had any trouble with any other games.

My problem with Fairy Island is that the demo worked fine, but after I bought it and reinstalled it , (I had uninstalled the demo), the new version (probably the one that "fixed" stuff for Vista, has no sound and will not "hold" my usename and score! I'm running XP, up to date on all stuff, including Direct X, and patches. What a bummer! I'm hoping that customer service will get back to me, but when??? Any ideas for these problems?

wow this game keeps being surprising. I couldn't get pas level 48 in normal mode. Then i switched to another mode at it was no challenge at all. Apparently it does not get more challenging with every level, but with every level you play in a certain game mode, so level 48 was only challenging because i had played so many level in normal mode before. This is a quite interesting game idea.

I purchased the game yesterday after BFG fixed the download problem for Vista users. I am enjoying it. A good break from the HOG games. I am playing the story mode and had to restart because the power ups I bought didn't help. I saved my acorns to buy more time and also the power up for the fairy tokens to come up more often. As explained in the home page there are four modes so enough to keep you busy. It is kind of like match 3 and tetris all rolled into one. The laughing fairy may drive you nutso so I just shut off the sound.
