I've had a username here for a little while (I have posted q's) BUT I don't regularly sign in.
I do very OFTEN browse and check this forum for hints, tips and walkthroughs.
So - I'm kinda feeling bad that I don't give the good peeps here proper kudos, recognition and thanks for their hard work and dedication.
THANK YOU especially to the people who post the excellent walkthroughs and to the others who posts comments.

I would like to be able togo back to earlier chapters and finish, but I do not have a map icon at all. Does anyone know why? Cant seem to find my way back to the beginning. Need to go back in several places.

Did you take a look at the Walkthru here?? Click on the Tips&Trick tab on top of this page..It might help you out..

The game does not allow you to go back to previous chapters, but you shouldn't have to. It doesn't let you go forward until you've done everything there is to do, so you stay in one chapter until everything there is done, then you go on to the next.
If you're just trying to get from one location to another, check the walkthru under the green Tips & Tricks tab at the top of this page, and it should help with that.
Oh, and if you're worried because you've only done, say, 1 of 3 of a particular Hidden Object scene, don't worry about that--the other options will show up later in the game, often in completely new rooms. That's part of the story, that the novels were scattered throughout the mansion.

At the of the game...Has anyone found the "SECRET ROOM"?Where do you find the tokens for the painting on the wall?

You were able to click on the painting right?? You saw the buttons below yes?? You've clicked on the metal tabs and looked what they tell you to do..okay??
Then you're able to place the buttons in that specific order ..
When you don't understand it at all... you might take a look at the Walkthru here.. Click on the Tips&Tricks tab on top of this page and search for your game. You find your answers there..
