I downloaded the game "Elementals: The Magic Key " and I, too, had problems of it executing. It would freeze right at the outside frame. No pictures or anything.
The game site "Playrix" system requirement call for RAM: 512 MB .. but I don't think that would have cause this problem for I play games with that requirement.

EDIT: just sent them an e-mail. Hopefully it can be fixed. Could be hopefully just a bug and not something that has to be bought or missing on my pc.

I recieved e-mail from Playrix support and was asked to send a "dxdiag" report to them. After I did that, I already had uninstalled the game so I redownloaded it , installed and it started up just fine. No hesitation at all
. Maybe if you uninstall the game, redownload it and install, it might do the trick. It is quite an interesting game.
And was very please how helpful and quick playrix support came thru and also with another e-mail sent to me with another way to get a report to them but since after I redownloaded, and installed , I did not need to use the other report thingy... for it worked great.
Hope this helps you, bj2trainer and anyone else that might have had a problem.

Hi Olivia I redownload from playrix and still dont work! This is really frustanting and can not undestand why the said that the game work in Vista!

The e-mail i sent my "dxdiag" report to is the one Olivia wrote in her post which is support@playrix.com so they could find out what kind of problem could be happening.
They also sent another e-mail to me with another report that could be run that my guess is from the developers themselves.
Maybe if you could run "dxdiag" and save that report and attach it to an e-mail and send it to them, they might be able to see why and also send you the same "luckysoftdiagnostictool" for you to run and send back to them.
I hope this helps. It is close to the weekend and i don't know if support people work weekends... alot don't as i found out thru other game sites..

why would you download from a company that gives you grief and would have to pay full price for the game? I would also be afraid of a virus from them.

Playrix didn't give me grief. Actually, they were very supportive...... for some game sites do not even reply nor say it is their fault.
I do not know much about Playrix but i was very surprized that they answered my e-mail in matter of a few hours wanting to help me. That , itself, was impressive.
but come to find out, i just had to redownload the game ... and it worked.. didn't need their help after all. I apologized to them for taking up their time with my need.
As for game sites that do not help out when asked, I agree with ya , Schuldiner.,.. yes.. i completely mark them off list and not buy from them.

I just installed the game and played through the first scene and first magic-board battle without any problems. I have Windows XP. The graphics are great. It seems like a really cool game. It's out on Nevosoft. But I wonder if anyone else is getting the game. I wish they were selling this for $9.99, also.

(not complaining about my budget but, well yeah,,.... who like to be on a budget
) all i have been dl is demos just to get my fill of my addiction to games. Though it probably does hurt the pc but i try to do major cleaner to it every week. 9.99 would be a good price for this game. It is pretty smooth even almost has the likeness of chess game in it as a mini game. And "in-game" help when ever you need it.

I not only had a problem with THIS game not loading....but I also tried to play the BETA version and it would not load either. They asked for my DxDiag also, but nothing was ever resolved. They just said "sorry you can't play it". My computer has all their specified requirements. Of all the games I've played THIS is the only one that won't play on my computer. They seem to try to say it was my computer's problem. Too bad, I really liked their 4 Elements game. Hope they find THEIR problem!!

I also get the Buy Game message when I try to download. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times that I gave up. Their support sent me the same info, but nothing helped. I really wanted to play that game!

Guys, if you are having problems with the game I would really suggest contacting Playrix support team (support@playrix.com). As far as I know, they don't work on weekends, but they should help you out today.

I can't believe Playrix released this game in this condition. I did the beta test on this one and it completely froze my computer. I e-mailed Playrix about that at the time and finally was able to send the dxdiag file to them.
The problem is, nothing seems to have been resolved since the beta version. The text in the little boxes goes missing, half of the mini-games don't work, etc., etc., etc. There is absolutely NO WAY I would pay $19.95 for a game with this type of problems! I just downloaded it and played it for a while but then the game froze. I had to hard-boot my computer and when I tried to play the game, it sent me back to the first scene. Then when I tried to open the curtains in the first scene, it closed the game! This happened twice.
I give up.

I only had problems running it the first time. Then I unistalled and installed again and it worked great. I don't seem to have any other problem than that with the game. Overall, it's cute and I like the mini games.

Elementals: The Magic Key is Big Fish Games's TGT (on 11/02/09) which means that BFG Game Club members can get it today.
It is to be hoped that the technical problems encountered by anyone who got the game directly from Playrix have been corrected. And if they haven't, we hope that BFG Customer Service will work with you to find a solution.

It's only out today for BF "Game Club Members" I think. Everybody else should be able to get it tomorrow.
The beginning of the game is VERY easy, but it's mostly a tutorial.
The Battle Scenes are a challenge and the puzzles get way more challenging as the game progresses.
Your mileage may vary.
