Disney is reaching back into its classic film vault for the latest round of costumes announced for its upcoming action/adventure game Disney Universe. The company has confirmed that players will be able to suit up as Baloo, the easy-going bear from Disney’s 1967 classic The Jungle Book, or fight for justice as Robin Hood from 1973’s Robin Hood. New Disney Universe costumes from Robin Hood and The Jungle Book announced

Disney is reaching back into its classic film vault for the latest round of costumes announced for its upcoming action/adventure game Disney Universe. The company has confirmed that players will be able to suit up as Baloo, the easy-going bear from Disney’s 1967 classic The Jungle Book, or fight for justice as Robin Hood from 1973’s Robin Hood.

Available later this month,Disney Universeis a multiplayer game for PC and Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii that brings together for the first time characters and worlds inspired by both animated and live action films from Disney’s Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Walt Disney Pictures.

Aladdin-inspired world and characters confirmed for Disney Universe

isney has unveiled the Aladdin world in Disney Universe, its upcoming action/adventure game that brings together characters and worlds from popular Disney and Pixar films. In this Arabian nights-inspired world, players will be able to suit up as their favorite characters from the Disney film Aladdin, including costumes for Aladdin himself, Princess Jasmine, Iago, Jafar and Aladdin’s monkey sidekick, Abu.

In addition to the consumes, the Aladdin world will let players explore the mysterious puzzles of the Cave of Wonders, while avoiding dangerous hazards such as lava, falling sand, boulders, and spiked platforms – all in an effort to defeat the nefarious Jafar.

Players will be able to suit up as the long-haired princess Rapunzel from the Disney movieTangled, the mermaid Ariel fromThe Little Mermaid, and the spunky fairy Tinkerbell, who made her first appearance inPeter Pan.

Pirates of the Caribbean Confirmed for Disney Universe

Disney has added Pirates of the Caribbean to the list of Disney franchises that will be appearing in Disney Universe, an upcoming action/adventure game that brings together characters and words inspired by Disney and Pixar movies. Players will be able to suit up in the costumes of film characters including Captain Jack Sparrow, Angelica, Mr. Gibbs, Captain Barbossa and Blackbeard as they navigate their way over the Thames River and through the city streets of London. The new world also includes cannons to fend off the pirate ships, water bombs to prevent London from burning, and rubber duck vehicles to engage in a final battle for the Fountain of Youth.

Pirates of the Caribbean is the newest franchise to be confirmed for Disney Universe, joining Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Disney-Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. and WALL*E, and Disney’s The Lion King, with more to be revealed.

Players will suit up in familiar costumes and face challenges that include defeating enemies, collecting coins and power-ups, unlocking new costumes, and exploring with friends.
