All the fun of Build-a-Lot without the stigma of being a real estate flipper. I'd much rather be designing malls. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I really loved the premise of this game. For me it was a huge hit and a refreshing twist on the “Build-a-lot” genre. But it probably reminded me more of “Be Rich” in that it was much more vibrant and colorful. It has similar game mechanics to “Build-a-Lot” in that you have to manage resources and workers. One thing I liked was that it allowed you to build the store on more than one level. Usually, with the “Build-a-Lot” type of games it’s all very planar. With “Create a Mall,” you start with one level, then 2, and then 3. I’d love to see a sequel where you’d get a maximum of 5 levels, and 2 malls side-by-side, and more stores. So I think there’s potential to build on this concept. There are only 30 levels and the game isn’t that long, but it’s a good start. I thought they did well with the store variety: clothing, shoes, jewelry, perfume, book store, toy store, music, computer, department store, restaurant, movie theater, arcade, and bowling alley. But there were some obvious ones that were left out like electronics, home furnishings, sporting goods, and cosmetics. Some stores also had more than one design. But with a few it wasn’t as obvious. It would have been nice had you been able to pick which version you wanted. One item that was a nice touch was that ability to upgrade to an elevator. That was a good detail. I thought the unique challenge in this game was that some stores took up more than one bay, up to a maximum of 3. So depending upon the goal, that made it a little more challenging. Something I would have liked would have been a move-store option. Like if a store in a mall moved to a larger space within the mall, they don’t have to demolish the other location. There’s also no free-play option which could have made this game even more appealing. It was slow at times because there was no speed upgrade for the workers. But overall, I really thought this was a cool game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Like Build-A-Lot but with mall theme. I passed three of the six levels so far. Easy, nice concept of being able to buy things from the store(s) for Kelly's desk. Game gets tedious after awhile. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
