It's not bad. The puzzles are interesting, though there is not much in the way of directions. Overall, it's one of the better HOG's.

frankly, I found the game quite boring - no challenge to it and very slow moving.

Hi everybody...
I did the Beta and waiting for the release... Now I'm playing the demo and I'm still enthousiastic about it. Do love the stage scenes..interesting puzzles and really not that bad at all...

When you go back in to play on the demo, they won't let you. They only want you to join their club and buy the game. You can't, or I can't go in to finish the demo. So I uninstalled

Played it last night and today. Thought it was a good game 4/5. Great original story line and I had no tech problems. Graphics were good. Some of the mini games could have had more instruction but over all a well done original story which is hard to find these days.

Was impressed with the storyline and graphics. Thought some of the minigames needed more instructions. Put this in the category of one of the better HOGs.

I really enjoyed the demo - hated for it to end. I will definitely buy it if it comes out on Big Fish.

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue I am at the end of the game and when I go to do the magic trick my game closes help anyone?

Very nice HOG. The graphics and animation are great; you have to guess your way through the mini-puzzles, but have the option to "skip;" the hidden objects mostly relate to the magician and his scenes so you won't have to go looking for "hot dogs" or "back packs." Also, the music is nice. I bought it after trying for one-half hour; I was impressed.

The Conjurer is scheduled to be released for Shockwave Unlimited members on October 30th. Who knows, maybe we will get it sooner. Hope so, I have been waiting for this one.

HI, can anyone help me with the puzzle that appears after the Whitebeard of the North does his trick? There are cards and hands holding a coin - but can't figure out what to do.
There are 3 hands in the center and a bunch of cards around the edges. You have to figure out which card goes with which hand.
You must do them in this order: left hand, right hand, center hand.
For the left hand, look carefully around the edge of the ring. There is an IV there. That = 4. Take the card that is a 4 and drag it to the center of the circle for that hand.
The hand will hold the card.
Now look at the circle around the right hand. You should be able to figure out which card goes there.
Now for the center hand. It will turn over. Look at the back of the hand (not the ring), and you'll see which card you need.
When you click on that card, though, instead of dragging the card to the hand, there will be a coin on the card.
Take the coin and put it in the slot in the lock.
This will open and reveal a key.
Take the key, and drag it to the key-shaped indentation.
Now the key will open the lock.

Thanks for the great tip. But I think I have a bigger problem with the game. I've just bought it, and have gotten this far. After following the directions to reveal the key, the game shuts down and I'm taken back to my desktop. I bought the game from Shockwave - do folks have good experiences with their customer service? Thanks!
Later - I figured it out. After purchasing the game, I neglected to uninstall the demo - whoda thunk? With BFG, you don't have to do this. I downloaded (again!) and installed the game and this time, it worked fine. I'm enjoying it so far - the art work is lovely and it's not too hard. I'm not one of these who wants to be challenged in my gameplay. This is how I relax.

Is anyone else having a problem with this game, I got it at I-Win and when I get to the act where the magician uses the skeleton my mouse disappears and does not come back and cannot continue the game even started over with a new profile and it did the exact same thing in the exact same spot just after the skeleton gets in the cage????

Micky
I just played to the point you are talking about and my mouse didn't disappear, I got the game from SW
That's why I don't buy anything from iWin anymore, they have a lot of problems it seems with their games, not to mention their lousy customer service, which I'm afraid you going to have to contact on this one...Good Luck!
You could also try a defrag and re-download of the game
I have only purchased 2 games from them, I set the games to run without their manager and got rid of them...I never was a member of their game club and never would be!

I hae about had it with this game even though I was enjoying it....

Same thing happened with me. I contacted GH support. The first response back was the usual garbage about what system was I using what was the browser I was using BLAH BLAH BLAH. I wrote back said all that information had been supplied already, enough of the stalling BS just address the question. A new tech got back to me, stated that someone else complained about this same problem. She was investigating to see if she could recreate the problem. Heard back a few days later. She said the same issue happened and that she was sending a report into the makers of the game. It has been at least 3 weeks since then and I have heard nothing else back. Has anyone answered your question? Has this happened to someone else? And does anyone know what the fix is to stop this from happening. I myself downloaded the game twice, played it twice from start to where it closes down (last Magician's act placing items on stage). I cleared my cache, cleaned up the HD and memory removed unnecessary files did a back up, removed temp files. Did everything with the exception of going out and purchasing another computer and loading it on that. But I know it is not my computer. There has to be some kind of glitch that the makers need to fix. So if anyone has any information about this issue it would be greatly appreciated if you could post what you know. Thanks

I have gone thru all the Magicians, but I had to stop, will pick up again and see what happens...
The only thing I'm finding with the game, it's a bit slow and sticky in between...I'm playing it on my laptop
EDIT: Well that didn't take long, I had left off at The Hall Of Secrets, so I clicked on the door thinking I was going to play the Conjuror...I am not going to spoil the ending, but there will be a sequel
So all I can say is good luck on getting it fixed or get your money back!
Shockwave's version played fine for me on my laptop
I can't play GH's games on my machines, lol, RA must have sent them their old installer, rofl

Well if they cannot fix this one I certainly do not want to play tghe sequel if it does come out.....

Could someone explain how the second-tier hint system works? I understand the first-tier-- click on the object's name, and a silhouette will appear in the globe. But when I try to get the second-level hint, I click on the larger globe and, while the globe's "timer" seems to start counting down, nothing else appears to be happening, i.e., no area of the screen is highlighted, etc.
Could someone explain how it works to me?
Thanks!

For me I belong to Funpass on GH so I don't have a need to fight and get my money back. I am wondering if I use a game credit on BF if the down load will play better??? I will have to check that out. I am fairly sure I can play the game to the last magician within 60 minutes which is the allotted time given by BF to try the game. Well, on with the search. I was also thinking isn't the last magician the woman this Conjurer is in love with, but perhaps she is not in love with him??? So maybe that has something to do with the programing of this game? Perhaps GH version was incomplete?

Hi Irishusgirl...
Thanks a lot for sharing.. I'm a Funpass member at GH too, but didn't finish the game yet...
Please keep us posted...

Unless I'm missing something BF doesn't have this game yet. I did a search for it and looked at the list of games...
I had one hour when I beta tested this game and I couldn't get thru it, maybe 2-3 depending if you read the dialog or not
The hint system is very tricky in some areas, you almost have to lean back to see the object highlighted, I trusted the outlines more

Hi Suki...
You're fully right.. BFG doesn't have The Conjurer.. that's why I've bought the game at GH..
Thanks for the info about the tricky hint system ...

I have finished Souffle's trick and am now at the door puzzle. I see six coins, three of them are gold and in silver slots, while the other three are silver and in gold slots, with one empty slot in the middle. How do I solve this puzzle?
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
You have to systematically jump the coins. I started with the right side. But I don't think it really matters what side you start on. So take the first coin on the R side and put it in the middle. Then Jump the first coin from the L side over the middle coin. And you just keep systematically jumping the coins until they are completely on the opposite sides. When playing you will have to jump coins back to their original side. It may at times seem like it is not working only because this is a tedious jump game. I can't really write a jump by jump answer, but believe me after you take the first few jumps you will figure it out. And you may even have it dawn on you while working this puzzle, (as I did, and literally hit myself in the forehead and said DUH!) this is a patten puzzle they usually teach kids in the 1 to 2nd grade to help introduce math concepts. LOL! Anyway Hope this helps.

I am hoping that BF will eventually get the game. I still cannot complete this game to the end. No matter how many times I have downloaded this game, cleaned the temp files and taken all the necessary steps to erase any and all traces of previous downloads of the game. I still get to the last magician at the point where the player places the items on the stage. And BOOM! one click shuts the game down completely and I am at my desk top!!! Wondering if this glitch will ever be fixed by GF or those that issued this version to GF? Oh and I agree about the hints, they are not as helpful as a player might hope. But I have come across a few games that also have very sketchy hints! Perhaps the designers of the games just want to give a HINT and not the answer. And that would be fine with me, except for the fact that a lot of these games make the object invisible until the exact area of the screen is clicked.
