As Im not such a biiiig fan of match3 games, I was surprised about the fun I had with Pastry Passion. A lot of diffrent items, funny and cute characters, challenging, good powerups. And specially the powerups I like - because from all the powerups you can buy, you only can use two in one level (diffrent to the other match3games I played). So you have to choose wisely.

And even if it more match4 than 3 ;)), Little Farm i liked also a lot. Its diffrent, new (ok, I read that this way of matching was used by an older game, but for me it was completly new, lol)and challenging... at least till you have all the upgrades, after this it gets a bit repetive. Anyway, as you are that amazed about carribean hideaway, Pilar, I should give it maybe a second chance :)- I played it, it was not bad, but not more for me. So maybe I will now play it with diffrent eyes and see, what it has to give me :),br> Greetings, Kayleigh -
When my eyes are getting tired and my forehead in getting wrinkled from playing HOGs and strategy puzzles, this is the game I go to for just pure fun. It gives me a challenge and it relaxes me at the same time. And it also heals my tired eyes. I was amazed when I first noticed this but it really does work for me. There must be something in the way my eyes have to move over the screen so quickly that exercises them in a good way.

Strategy puzzle games like Azada and Dream Chronicles 2 are my favorite type of game but I always go to my Caribbean Hideaway for rejuvenation. I also liked Pastry Passion and I plan to buy it with my next game credit from Real Arcade. It will be the first match 3 game that I have purchased since Caribbean Hideaway. -
I agree Pilar, I love this game and play it often. I am a fan of match 3 games, but hadn't seen many good ones in awhile until this one came out. Like you, I played it continuously until I finally finished it. Got stuck over ane over around 97/98, but finally got it! I love a challenge and as this game progresses it definately gets more difficult. Anyone trying it for the first time should not get discouraged by how easy it is at the beginning as it gets more challenging as you progress.

The game got very difficult for me because when I first got it I didn't know about the Tips & Tricks here at Gamezebo. I would highly recommend that every one read the Tips & Tricks before they play it. That way they will know how to use the power ups and weapons properly and it will be more fun!

I tried the demo, and it did seem pretty good. I used to play the Jewel Quest-match 3 (loved the 3rd one best) and the Luxor (marble popping) games, for relaxation, btwn the HO & adventure games. Just something I could get into for a few minutes btwn things. I'll have to try Caribean Hideaway, again when I find it.

ABSOLUTELY! This game is definitely one of the best-executed I've seen. I can't wait to see the next game from Twin Tales!

Twintale Entertainment is run by twin brothers Mikael and Martin Andersen in Denmark. One of the brothers wrote and thanked everyone for their comments on the old Gamezebo site, but none of the comments on this game have made it to the new site. He said they have a new game in the works but he didn’t say what kind of game it will be. I am looking forward to it also!

Hm... played it now again... and no, it doesnt touch me. The first time I needed to replay a level was in chapter 67. Its not that challenging for me, to easy to go through. So even if i have to admit, that the graphics are nice, they made a good mixture of relaxing and not that relaxing levels and the variosity of items is well choosen, it will never be my game Greetings, Kayleigh

Thx for the suggestion Pilar, I just did the demo not really knowing what I'm doing, only got up to L12. I agree there could be better instructions, haven't read Tips here.
It's different, getting the next tile to play on the pointer. May get it on next BF credit, still shopping. My all time "between HO eyes" has always been Big Kahuna Reef to relax altho I've not been real big on match 3s. What BKR has to offer is endless puzzles to never get bored. Once you get thru 100 levels and do the challenge (may be 50 more) you can download free puzzles from their site which other players design. Some extremely complex, all different types for any mood, and a nice community board to share comments. When I'm stressed and just feel like blasting something BK2 chains with bombs does it for me.
Another is 7 Wonders of Ancient World. I bombed out on it so many times with the timer til I got a new puter which is faster and now progressing. Never occured to me how a slow pc can't keep up with pace of a timed game. Try 7 Wonders, some very funny entertainment going on across the bottom of the screen, workers strike and yell at you when not providing enough rocks to build, or stop for lunch and pick up a ahem hooker, or maybe just a sexy lunch partner. It is fast paced but fun with the bombs. Then back to thinking on a HO game....

Best Match 3 game I have ever played

I am amazed by the huge variety of objects that you match as you go through the game and they all have different sound effects when you clear them. In some of the other games you earn money or points and build things and you do that in this game also. But in this game you can choose what to build and when to build it, so you can try different strategies. You get really useful power up tools such as more time, a hammer and an army to help destroy portions of the board. You also get ships, cannon balls and lightning after you have built and staffed the buildings on you island. It’s not at all like a time management game though, it’s not boring or tedious. On your pirate island and on your adventures in your ship you are always having fun.
Since February 2008 I have played the trial versions for as many other match 3 games that I can find, hoping to find some other games that might have the quality and variety and pure fun of this one. I haven't found any others that are even close.
The only negative thing about the game is that there are virtually no instructions. The basic match 3 is simple but using the added power ups and other tools should have been explained more. There are 100 levels on the game and I played up to level 97 without knowing how to use the hour glass time power up properly. I have seen comments by others about running out of time too soon, so I guess I’m not the only one that didn’t figure out how to use the hourglass more effectively. But if you read the Tips and Tricks for this game here at Gamezebo you will start off on the right foot and enjoy the game the way it is meant to be played.
I hope TwinTale Entertainment will continue to make more games that are of this quality Send a Kudo Post a Reply Quote & Reply
