Gift Giving Earns You More Cafe Life Coins

Purchasing items within your cook book is just one way to serve food items and for you to earn a profit. Gift giving is another. The benefit of receiving food items from your friends is that it is free! You can then start serving them in no time and watch your coins come in.

There has been some confusion on how gift giving is done in Cafe Life. Some are because of bugs found in the game. While we wait for the developers to fix it, here is a guide on how it works now and tips to work around the bugs.

Sending gifts to your friends is nothing new to any social gamer. In Cafe Life, you can click on the yellow gift icon to open the gift list. Do your friend a favor and send them food items instead of furniture. They will surely return the favor. As expected, not all items will be available and you need to reach the required level to unlock it.

Receiving gifts is a bit different. When you log out of the game and come back, a message will appear that will show how many gifts your friends have sent you.

Here is the tricky part. You must click on the “show gifts” button to open the gift inventory instead of clicking on the checkmark to close the window. Clicking on the check mark will reveal an empty gift box. The only way to see the message again is to leave and log back in.

The gift box will then list all your gifts and you will need to accept each one. Take note that food items will be served automatically when you accept the gift. If you don’t have empty counters, it will stay in your gift box.

For furniture or equipment, it will be stored in your warehouse. Open your Decoration window and drag the gift to your cafe and place them where you want it to be. You can opt to sell them for extra coins.
