Hey Ralph, this should work for you:
Construct a Workshop.
Build a Duplex.
Buy one empty lot as soon as one is up for sale.
Upgrade both of your houses with two Energy Savers.
Sell the Duplex.
Build a Wind Farm.
Build two more Duplexes.
Paint all your current houses.
Upgrade all your current houses to three stars.
Buy another empty lot.
Build an A-Frame.
Train two workers.Thanks OrangeKnickers!

Can anybody help me to pass Level 41 on the Main Campaign? It's where you have to have 6 triple saver, painted & landscaped A-Frames and 9 empty lots. Thanks!

Since you need quite a lot of money to buy all building, some shops are helpful. I usually start with a recycling thingy to get cheaper materials, then either a workshop or a power source (which you later demolish as well). You basically build some shops to make money, at the same time build A-frames and upgrade (and paint) them to be energy-saving, then demolish everything but the A-frames.

One thing to remember in this game is that you CAN work in the dark if you don't need to collect rent. The dark also seems not to affect the selling price of houses (I would think that it should but it doesn't). I did this a little differently from the walk-through and it worked for me.
On this level I built a Workshop bought the Worker Efficiency, built the Recycle Center bought materials built a Georgian and sold it, bought enough workers and materials to build an Apartment and then sold it. Then I started buying up lots and building the A-frames, upgrading and power saving, painting and landscaping as I went. I also built a Tech Center and bought the Tech efficiency training along the way to help with time on the A-Frames. All of this happened with no power on.
Once I had all the A-Frames finished and inspected I built a Solar Tower and supercharged it so I had power again, built a Cinema and Grocery store and made them fancy...and then built an Apartment to collect rent with. I then just waited for the other houses to come up for sale and inspected or power saved them if needed so they could pile up rent as well. Once I had all the houses I started demolishing and finished well within the time for Speedy.
I was able to get a speedy on all the levels in all the challenges before the walkthrough was posted, it took a while and I had to try alot of different strategies to get some of them..but the keys, just as in the other BALs are the lowly Workshop for worker efficiency and the Recycle Center for cheaper materials. On some levels you may have to build and demolish your Recycle center several times near the beginning because you don't have enough power to have it remain on the board, but it's worth it to get the cheaper materials.

You ain't kiddin'! The walkthrough provided here on GameZebo for the Main Campaign is great, but for the Challenge Mode, I would suggest the walkthrough on that 'large fishy' site. Unfortunately, they don't have anything posted for the Expert Mode. Which, by the way, is totally INSANE and is kicking me arse! (sigh)

The Expert walkthrough is now posted on that "large fishy" site BTW.
I found that my best strategy all around on the Expert and Challenge Campaigns was to build a Nuclear Reactor (whether it was needed for the level or not) as soon as I could get it built and then a Cinema for constant income with little worry until the main houses are built. That keeps the power on and the rent coming in faster at the beginning and you have plenty of time to add the proper power sources at the end once you have plenty of money and time to add power savers if you need them after the Reactor is demolished. (It also gives you back right many materials at a time you might have had to demolish your recycle center.
You can pretty much count on mid-level goals that are insane on the Expert Campaign so try to budget time and resources for them ahead of time. Almost every Challenge and Expert level has just the required amount of lots for the goals, so you have to really plan things out to make them.

Please tell me this is much better than"Plan It Green" since I found that game way to easy and kind of boring. I love all of the BAL games (still haven't completed BAL3 yet!) and am eagerly awaiting this new edition.
