Boosting the "four years in the making" a bit too much might've been one big mistake, but while PopCap didn't add too much "new stuff" on the surface, Bejeweled Twist is on par with its forerunners and even outshines them by a close shave. You still match gems and go for the highscore, only this time you rotate the gems instead of swapping them- nothin' new here. I'm surprised to see so many people scoff at the game though. First, you can say that no casual game deviates very much from a once-established formula, and Twist actually adds a lot of tiny, heh, twists. It takes a a while, but Twist grows on you. There's everything in the game that made the original great: You can spend a few idle minutes on it or play it for a solid hour, there's all sorts of rewarding sounds and eye candy, and the additional "challenges" really are a great and fun extension to the endless game. Twist's greatest problem is, as far as I'm concerned, that Bejeweled 2 is such a crowd pleaser and such an established brand that people will always complain about any small change from Formula X. But once you look past the not-so-justified hype you still find a great game, though one that doesn't show all its charme after the usual one-hour trial. Totally worth a try for everyone who likes that hypnotic clicking of the gems. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Was not impressed. I had been anticipating this release for some time and then was disappointing when it finally did come out. Worth playing to make your own decision, but there is little change in game play, and it seems a little to bulky for me to go in and just play a level or two in my spare time (which was the biggest plus to the original 2). Didn't like this game much. At first the "twisting" of jewels when you right-click was cool, but it gets repetitive real fast, and the graphics seemed too weird too. I miss the old Bejeweled =( Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

What a disappointment. Popcap should have invested this money into a more innovative Peggle sequel. How in 2008 can you come out with a puzzle game that does not have a quest mode?? Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Okay, what is up with the completely out of context (and not very well designed) space theme going on here? Has PopCap never heard the rule 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it?' I don't find the new style of matching very compelling; it gets boring much more quickly than the previous style. But why the compulsion to add all the space junk? Ridiculous! I'll stick with the first 2 brilliant, relaxing editions and give this one a pass. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Still playing the demo but haven't seen much different other than the different way of creating a match. This gets a bit getting used to, but otherwise game is basically the same as the first two. Keri Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Not bad But Not Good - Disapointed - The game starts you back at the beginning whe you lose. The twist is a little clunky and only in one direction. YOU CAN NOT save and share your replays (spoiled by Peggle). Polished and looks great. AND I for one wished they would have changed the voice. Sorry POPCAP could have been better. :( Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Wow, I'm a bit surprised at these reactions. I understand that the amount of new content is a bit disappointing considering it was nearly four years in the making, and I agree with that. At the end of the day though Bejeweled is still bejeweled folks. It's the same addictive, timeless classic that it always was, only now with a new twist to shake things up a bit. While not perfect I think PopCap changed enough, and added enough to appeal to fans of the genre. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Didn't find anything new in this game, it's all already been done before. Big build up to the release of this game and then "much ado about nothing" ultimately! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Having to start all over after a loss is soooo retro. I certainly would have hoped that a 2008 game would have a way to restart at the current level. And I personally find the rotate mechanism very hard to get used to. Disappointing. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
