I never had a problem with the timer in the original one, but GREAT NEWS for those (a lot) that had trouble with it.

Thank Heavens!!!! I didn't like the timer in the original game, especially the puzzles with time penalties for guessing wrong. Since all the puzzles are like that in this game, I was really getting perturbed.

by the time they get the no timed game version everybody will be finished with the game......someone please help me figure how to cut up the tree that I cut down in the cavern with the lake, I think the rope anad tree is to make a raft but cannot figure out how to cut up the tree, have nothing in inventory to cut up tree with (have gun powder, pick ax, matches, magnifing glass, rope and that strange fish that I caught) but it says that I am finished on the office and campsite but cannot go into the other two sites. Help???? Have put this in about three of the forums now and still no response, come on guys help????

Hey Micky, your answer is somewhere in here. I don't have time to break up paragraphs so I hope you can read it.
THE TREASUREPage 2
* Pick up the 2 matches on the table, left page.
* Click on the flag that is on the table with the black and white skull and crossbones that says "jolly rancher"
* Place the flag on the ship's mast that is on the right side of the page..
* underneath the cloth you'll see a small chest, there's nothing you can do with it now.
* Pick up the two matchsticks from inventory and place them on the candles so you can light them.
* Go to page 1 and get the key that the man is holding.
* Go back to page 2 and place the key on the chest and in it you will find "pieces of eight" gold coins.
* Page 2 is completed.Page 1 The Treasure
* Go back to page 1 and give the parrot the gold coins and then click on the barrel twice.
* Click on it again to get the gun powder that is inside.
* Pick up the cannonball that is sitting next to the cannon, on the right side.
* Place the powder on the cannon and then place the cannonball in the cannon as well.
* Take a match from inventory and place it on the cannon and you'll see some lines appear that say "aim"
* Click on the center of the mountain and the cannon will destroy the rocks and a cave will be revealed.
* Go to page 4Page 4
* The scene will be dark but you should be able to see the lantern in the middle of the scene.
* Take your last match from inventory and place it on the lantern so you can see inside the cave.
* Click on the shovel that is on the right side.
* Click on the book that is in front of the lantern and it will open, pick up the card and the map that is inside.
* This page is now complete.Page 3
* Give the map to Long John Silver on page 3.

* A red "X" will appear on the ground, place the shovel on the "X" and a treasure chest will appear.
* Click on the treasure chest and a mini game will appear. -
WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILERS
I don't really want to give a user review about this game because my review would have been so much higher without the timer. However, since the untimed version will come out too late for me to play at least the majority of the game, I have to say that that timer has pretty much spoiled the fun for me in this game.
This is basically a point/click or "Myst-like" game. The essence of a game like that is to try things until you figure them out. My opinion about the timer, and most especially the timer penalties has solidified now that I've played through 1) a book that required you to use an object and click on a specific part of something on the screen, and penalized you for clicking on the wrong part. I clicked on the wrong part trying to do what I, indeed, needed to do, but abandoned that line of reasoning immediately when I got penalized, and 2) a book that had you use a pickax to break one lock, but penalized you for trying it with a different lock. I got the penalty first. Luckily, I decided to go ahead and try the other lock anyway.
I don't understand what they could have possibly been thinking with the timer and penalty. I *really* don't understand what they were thinking if they penalize you when you are obviously on the right track.

is it because of the timer that I cannot down load the game when I try it says interrupted.

Lauder, the timer has nothing to do with your download being interrupted. The problem is that the servers are overloaded because there are too many people trying to download at once. The same thing happened when HE Amazon was released. Just keep trying.Good Luck

its funny cause my roommate computer took the download at the same time it did not take mine. but he dont like these kind of games on his computer, he just wanted to see if his computer could do it.

To all of those that are not happy with the timer, it is going to be changed according to Paul Thelen, founder of Big Fish Games. He says the version with Relaxed Mode should be available within 3 to 7 days.
