This game gets fairly repetitive as initial interest wears off. At first I was eager to explore the game content but after 2 hours everything became dull and tedious. The camera speed is slow when you switch fairies. The game's graphic/music gets a much deserved higher rating because it can get hypnotizing. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This is a visually beautiful game, and a great idea, but it gets tedious fast. Once you have finished one area and move on it is a different scene, but at the same time it's pretty much the same thing. You will finish in no time if you leave the game running in real time when you are away. It's a pity because if it had more thought put into it, it could have been a great game. There is also almost zero replay value Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I have to say that I am really impressed by this game. Avalon lets you guide a growing group of fairies in the style of real time simulations as for example Virtual Villagers or My Tribe. The resurces here are pollen, magic and food, which keep your fairy business running. The graphics and the music score are absolutely adorable and stunning and really make you feel like playing a fairy tale. Of course the pace is rather slow, but still it felt like you had more to do than in similar games. With your help the fairies might be able to shape the island of Avalon in such a way that they can flourish again. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

It's very pretty, and sort of lulls you into watching and wanting to see what happens next, but it's not really a 'game'. it almost plays itself if you give it enough time. kinda neat but i wouldn't want lots of games like this. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Was I playing the same game as the other reviewers?? I found this game to be incredibly slow moving. The fairies all look the same at first and it is really hard to tell who is doing what. The tutorial was close to useless and left me wondering what I was supposed to do. In the one hour demo, I accomplished extremely little. A few fairies 'leveled up' (there are 3 skills they gain experience in), I guess their abilities are maxed out once they specialize. I got one 'random event' that allowed me to click and choose options, this was the only fun part of the game to me, it was unexpected. I also solved part of 2 puzzles. One mini-game was amusing, it reminded me of Plinko on Price is Right. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

This is a beautiful and fun game. Completely stress free and relaxing. The music was beautiful and never got old to me. The mini-games were a pleasure and were meant as they should be, to help you meet your goals. The graphics and story were wonderful and the ending was just as sweet as the game and left me with a smile. I hope they will make a sequel involving the real plane as well because I would be sure to buy it! If you want a game that you can just relax and enjoy this is the one! This is a stunningly beautiful game from the graphics, to the music to the game play. You control a growing family of faeries, train them and explore the world using them and their Queen. It is similar in many ways to both Virtual Villagers and Escape from Paradise in the basic ideas: solving puzzles, they train up in certain areas, having a group of "villagers", they can continue to work while you are not playing, . However, it is a better game in many ways because everything fits into the faerie land theme. The mini games that are played, for example, look how I would expect faerie things to look and work. Nature and magic together, making things work. It is just a lovely, lovely game. I was thoroughly impressed, played the demo and bought the full version. :) Edit: If you are expecting a fast game, to be played in a weekend, this is not the game for you. Like Virtual Villagers, this is a slow paced game that happens over time (some of it real time). It is a game to set up and check back in on for 15-30 mins at a time. It is a different style of play than a lot of games. It is not a game play style that is for everyone. However, those that enjoy the real time experience, or that are open to trying it, will most likely be enchanted. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Excellent game, different, beautiful, challenging but not too much so and keeps on ticking even if you have to take a break for a bit. The tutorial wasn't all that informative and I had to check out the IWIN forum for a hint on finishing the first level but now I know that I mustn't leave any item uninvestigated. You must manage resources carefully so that you don't run out which means coming up with a balance on the number of fairies gathering food, magic or pollen (required to make new fairies). I like this a game a lot and would recommend you try the demo at least. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Avalon suprises me at a first glance. I'm a big fan of simulation games, but I just expected another Virtual Villagers. It's not. The game is much more than that. After one hour playing, I discovered some tips that puts the game in another level. First one, the persistent world is more than I thought. Left your fairies and your going to see it doing stuffs by itself, some kind of artificial inteligence gives life to my colony. Second one, I left my PC for a couple of minutes and a screensaver mode started. Wonderful, never seen anything like that before, I've spent another 10 minutes just watching it. Third one, great minigames. After all, I bought the game and start to play it for real. The game is good, and long. There are, at least 48 missions to do and the narrative is very immersive and intense. I strongly recommend this game for simulation lovers. Cheers. I love fairies so I HAD to get this game. It's pretty fun tasking fairies on jobs and seeing what they uncover. I would have preferred more challenge though. The last stage was really jerky for me, it took a long time to navigate the area. Also, I noticed that the food supplies never drained... must be a bug? That might be why I thought it was so easy.
