Assassin’s Creed Recollection gives the series a board game twist this November

With only a few years since its initial debut, the popular Assassin’s Creed series already has a great deal of lore and character under its belt. And starting next month, players will be able to explore this lore in an entirely new way – as a real time board game on the iPad.

While the specific gameplay details aren’t quite known yet, Ubisoft are promising a game that continues the war between the Templar and the Assassins. According to the publisher, “players will be able to engage in deep tactical gameplay in order to outsmart their enemies in challenging political battles.”

In addition to the multiplayer you might expect from such a release, Assassin’s Creed Recollection promises a story mode with 20 different missions, providing 8-10 hours of gameplay. Those who purchase the game will also receive a free copy of the animated short Asssassin’s Creed Embers, which provides an epilogue of sorts to the saga of Ezio Auditore, the much loved assassin whose trilogy is coming to an end with the upcoming home console release of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Board game and Assassin’s Creed fans alike can look forward to checking this one out when it hits the App Store this November.
