I had to re-install all of my Read Arcade games after I upgraded to Firefox 3.5.  I am also having trouble with Gamehouse games too.  They both appear to use the same installer.  I wish they would develop their OWN installer so when problems occur with one company, we would not have to repeat the problem with the other.

I emailed Gamehouse, and they said that they had some reports of problems but not ENOUGH for them to make a change.  I believe that is the same problem with Real Arcade.

I'd love for others to communicate to both Real Arcade and Gamehouse, and maybe this can be fixed.  I own about 100 real arcade games (Paul of BFG created RA; I bought games at RA and FG way before BFG began.)

My fantasy wish is that RA and GH would break down and pay to upgrade their game installer.  This is a problem that has gone on for too long.  I emailed GH with the error reports that I receive:  They told me to talk to Microsoft..as if it was their problem....SHAME ON GAMEHOUSE.  So much for their support.   REAL ARCADE has worked hard to help, but they just can't figure out that it is the relationship between FF 3.5.  If you have FF 3.5.. you will have to delete it, and reinstall FF 3.01.  Real Arcade works with this browser.  GAMEHOUSE STILL DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBLE.  Help...

  • Hi Maxi77.. I can imagine

    Hi Maxi77..

I can imagine the anger about the RA and GH probs.. I know that RA does have a new installer and GH is using the RA old one.. I had probs. too with the RA a while ago and they did help me out very quick and correctly.. So I found out then that I had an old Installer V1 and have to upgrade to their new Installer the V2.

I'll keep in mind to use the IE8 instead of FF 3.5 for DL games at RA or GH...      I think the best thing RA and GH could do is coming together as 1 company. It's very confusing for gamers that these companies finally belongs to the same one..

It's not fair of GH not taking any responsibilty concerning the FF browser IMO.

Well that's it for now and do hope it's all settled soon.Wink

  • Maxi, I, too, upgraded to FF

    Maxi,

I, too, upgraded to FF 3.5. I have problems with RA but not with Gamehouse so far.  I did notice that when FF installed, I got a message that 3 of my plug-ins were not compatible yet and one of them was the RealArcade V3 plug-in.  This may be the problem; maybe one of our techies will know for sure.

My main problem with RealArcade and FF is that since FF 3 came out, when I open a tab to RA, a lot of times, my browser crashes.   Of course,  RA's response to anything browser related is to use IE.  It seems they could care less about what their customers want.

Another plug-in that hasn't updated yet is iWin; but since I dl from the game manager it hasn't been a problem.

And the RA/Gamehouse Lousy Customer Service Saga continues....
