The match-3 combos are on a line connected grid layout. So you move the jewels over the interconnecting grid lines to make matches. There is a different type of match-3 game in each of the 7 temples.

Isis – classic drag and swap into adjacent space to create 3 or more matching colors.

Thot – arrange all the colors so that they enclose each small grid area and it lights up. This is more like a puzzle since all the colored jewels have to be in the correct place in order for all of the small grids to light up. You are given a certain number of each color and you have to fit them into the correct pattern over the whole grid.

Anubis – drag cursor over 3 or more adjacent matching colors. Try to create long chain matches if possible.

Sobek – rotate the small triangular grids that are in the overall grid to the left or right to manipulate them into matches of 3 or more.

Horus – click on any combination of 3 or more of the same color jewels. All jewels that are connected by a line will be cleared.

Bast – relocate jewels along any clear path to create matches of 3 or more. Jewels cannot move through a space occupied by another jewel.

Oris – the cursor becomes the matching piece. You can place it anywhere that it will create a match of 3 or more.

For me Thot, Sobek and Bast are the most difficult. They require thought and planning rather that cursor speed. Each level is timed and they get more difficult the higher you go. I have only completed level one difficulty and I had to repeat some of them because I ran out of time. It will be interesting to see what levels two and three hold. Lizzi the temple of thot is making me use "sailor" words big time. I am on the second difficulty for all the games but I don't think I will get to the third difficulty with THOT. Your description is perfect. Good luck getting to the second level--if I can do it yu can do it, Honest.

El, I'm so glad you saw this. I was hoping you and Tmonster would let us know how far you have gotten. The Codeminion people read this site so maybe we should ask for mercy. Maybe they could give a "turn off the timer option" patch for the game.

Let's start a petition, where do I sign? The other thing I dislike is when in one of the temples and you have no moves you have to start over I wish it would just reshuffle. I forget the temple it is in. I love the game though. My DH always says he can tell when I am enjoying a game because my mouth needs to be washed out with soap since I do get frustrated. I sure am getting my money's worth on this game.

I think that's in the Bast temple. Where you have to move along a clear path and little jewels spring up along the path and grow on the next move. When you get all the spaces full and can't make a match, you can't move until the shuffle lights up again. And that can take a lot of time. I had to repeat that one toward the end of level one. Maybe we should start a new topic called "We need a timer off option" and ask everyone to post who has played this game.

I'm stuck. I'm in the beginning I guess in the first difficulty level of thot. The 4th beetle. I completed Isis and then went to thot. I must not be getting some thing in this level. I don't know what to do with the jewels that are not squares. I can get the squares to lite up but then I have four that are just hanging there on the line. Upper right and lower left. I guess I don't understand what to do with then, where to put them. Of course, I run out of time. Yes Lizzie, turning off the timer would be great, you could play it either way. I'm just stuck. I'm not understanding something. Any help would be appreciated.

  • scooter46 you are doing it

scooter46 you are doing it right, you just have to keep moving those dang (to put it nicely) jewels around until you figure out the puzzle. I am on the 2nd difficulty level third beetle on the second level there and I am about ready to throw something through the monitor--FRUSTRATED! When you get bonus points accumulated you can skip a puzzle, need three bonus points which you get when you find the glyph but I am saving them for when it gets real hard LOL!!!! I will not give up. I have found though when you keep doing the same puzzle over and over by about the sixth or seventh try for some reason it gets easy, maybe they rigged it that way I have no idea. Just keep plugging along. I even count the jewels to see if I have odd or even when I get close to the end and try to manipulate it that way.

I think even our Genius GameGuru Margie could not do a walk through on this one. Maybe we could find a cheat sheet and manipulate the main menu on the computer for the game and complete it that way. You were able to do this a while back with Zuma but I think the game makers got wise and fixed it so you cannot get in the main menu.

Well back to the garden, had to take a break it is HOT out there. I just keep telling myself that people pay big bucks to go to a gym or sauna to sweat as much as I am.

Scooter I am sorry I was wrong I am still on the first temple of Thot fourth beetle but it is the second difficulty. I usually work the six beetles for one temple and than go to a new temple so I don't get too frustrated. This doesn't work too well though.

  • This is the most frustrating

    Report as Inappropriate

This is the most frustrating and addictive game I have ever played!! I've been stuck, repeated games umpteen times and nearly thrown the compy out of the window on several occasions!!!! However, I have completed six of the seven temples ... and yes, it is Thot that is giving me grief. I'm on the second level, beetle four of the second group .. and I WILL NOT be beaten, even if it takes months and drives me roight round the twist. It is great fun, though, isn't it?

  • Thot is my favorite temple

    Report as Inappropriate

Thot is my favorite temple in this game. I especially liked level 3 because the Dark Symbol of Seth is not in that temple. Even though the puzzles are random, I have posted pictures of examples of puzzles 29 through 72. The link to the pictures is over in the Thot temple topic. If you really get stuck on a puzzle you can choose Restart from the Menu and get a different color combination of tokens. I really like the relaxed game option so I don’t have to be stressed by the time limit.
